1. shape up 
When we see the word 'shape', first of all we think of appearances,
squares, rounds, triangles or things like this. Well, shape also refers
to health, your condition of your health. To shape up, then, is to become
healthy or to be doing a good job, to be performing very well, shape up.
▶ shape이라는 단어를 보면 먼저 모양에 대해서 생각난다. 사각형, 원형,
    삼각형 아니면 이와 비슷한 것들 말이다. shape은 물론 건강 즉 당신의
    건강 상태에 관한 것도 언급되어진다. shape up은 건강해 지는 것이고
    일을 잘 하는 것이고, 매우 업무 수행을 잘 하는 것이다.

2. ratchet up
This word 'ratchet' can very be described by thinking about a sound.
What is the sound that gears make when they match together?
What is the sound that the jack for your car makes when you're lifting
your car to change the tire? That gives us the feeling that something
is increasing, going up, gaining power. So to ratchet up is to increase,
develop or make bigger, make stronger.
By the way, when we talk about tools, we know we have a hammer
and a screw driver. We also have many types of wrenches.
One type wrench is a ratchet wrench. Tic tic tic...

    기어가 함께 맞물릴 때 어떤 소리가 나는가? 타이어를 갈아 끼우려고
    차를 들어올릴 때 사용하는 잭이 내는 소리는 어떤 소리인가?
    그것은 어떤 것이 증가하고 올라가고 힘을 얻는 느낌을 가지게 한다.
    그래서 ratchet up은 증가하고 발전하고 커지고 강해지는 것이다.
    그건 그렇고 우리가 연장(도구)에 대해서 애기할 때 해머나
    스크류드라이버가 있다는 걸 안다. 또한 많은 종류의 렌치가 있다.

3. chop up
Oh,, chop. Do you like to cook? Well, if you're in your kitchen, you have
a cutting board and you're gonna have a long boot knife.
And you have all types of vegetables. Maybe you're gonna chop up
those vegetables. Chop means to make into small pieces.
Up simply implies completely or a lot. So chop up, cut into many many
small pieces.
▶ 요리하는 거 좋아요? 당신이 부엌에 있다면 도마와 긴 칼을 가지고 있을 거야.
    그리고 모든 종류의 채소를 가지고 있을 거고. 아마 이 채소들을 잘게
    썰야야 할 거야. chop은 작은 조각으로 만드는 것을 의미한다.
    up은 쉽게 말해 완전히 또는 많은 이라는 뜻이다. 그래서 chop up은
    매우 많은 작은 조각으로 잘게 자르는 것이다.
