Bible Reading - Proverbs 14:25~35

14:25 A truthful witness saves lives, 진실된 증인은 생명을 구하지만

but a false witness is deceitful.거짓 증인은 속이느니라.

14:26 He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, 

여호와를 경외하는 자는 안전한 요새를 가졌으며 

and for his children it will be a refuge. 그의 자녀들을 위하여 그것은 피난처가 될 것이다.

14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.

여호와를 경외하는 것은 사망의 덫에서 사람을 돌이키는 생명의 샘이다.

14:28 A large population is a king's glory, 많은 인구는 왕의 영광이지만

but without subjects a prince is ruined. 국민이 없이는 군주는 망한다.

14:29 A patient man has great understanding, 인내하는 사람은 대단한 명철을 가졌으나

but a quick-tempered(화를 잘내는) man displays folly. 화를 잘내는 사람은 어리석음을 나타낸다.

14:30 A heart at peace gives life to the body, 평화로운 마음은 몸에 생명을 주지만

but envy rots(상하게 하다. 썩게 하다) the bones. 질투는 뼈를 썩게 한다.

14:31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt(경멸) for their Maker, 

가난한 자를 압제하는 자는 그들을 만드신 분을 경멸하는 것이지만  

but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

가난한 자들에게 친절한 사람은 하나님을 공경합니다.

14:32 When calamity(재앙,재난) comes, the wicked are brought down, 

재앙이 오면 악한 자들은 무너지지만

but even in death the righteous have a refuge.

의로운 자는 죽음 속에서도 피난처를 얻습니다.

14:33 Wisdom reposes(두다, 기초를 두다) in the heart of the discerning(분별력있는)

지혜는 분별력 있는 자의 마음에 자리 잡고 있으며

and even among fools she lets herself be known.

심지어 어리석은 사람들 사이에서도 지혜(그녀)는 자신을 알린다.

14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, 의로움이 나라를 높이지만 

but sin is a disgrace to any people. 죄는 어느 민족에게나 수치스러운 일입니다.

14:35 A king delights in a wise servant, 

왕은 지혜로운 종을 기뻐하지만 

but a shameful servant incurs(안좋은 상황을 초래하다,  발생시키다)his wrath. 

부끄러운 종은 그의 진노를 촉발한다.
