참부모경 - 460. 알래스카의 자연환경과 개발

참부모님께서는 알래스카에서도 해양섭리를 위해 많은 정성을 쏟으셨다. 알래스카는 세계적 어장으로 어류와 원자재가 집중되어 있으며 세계적인 교통의 요충지이다. 국제알래스카수산회사(ISA)를 세우고 알래스카를 개발해 인류의 식량문제를 해결하고자 노력하셨다. 또 알래스카에서 낚시를 통해 식구들에게 바다에 관해 교육하고 훈련시키셨다.
 
9 바다를 이기는 사람이 세계를 지배합니다. 바다는 육지의 3배가 됩니다. 모든 금은보화가 바다에 묻혀 있습니다. 그것이 주인을 기다리고 있습니다. 바다를 점령하고 극복하자는 것이 알래스카의 정신입니다.
 
10 알래스카 정신이 무엇입니까? 새벽 5시에 일어나 밥을 먹고 바다에 나갔다가 밤 12시에 들어옵니다. 새벽 1시나 2시에도 들어오는 것입니다. 책임량을 못하게 되면 못 들어오는 것입니다. 사정을 봐 주는 것이 아닙니다. 수련 과정에서는 책임을 못하면 안 됩니다. 고기 잡는 것을 구경하는 것이 아니라 훈련을 하는 것입니다. 고기 잡는 훈련을 하는 것은 앞으로 세계 어디를 가든지 일할 수 있는 지도자로 만들기 위해서입니다. 아무나 고기를 잡는 것이 아닙니다. 전문적이어야 합니다. 많은 경험을 해서 배워야 고기를 잡을 수 있습니다.
 
11 아버님은 코디악에서 새벽 5시부터 밤 12시까지 비가 오나 바람이 부나, 아무리 기후가 나쁘더라도 바다에 나가서 정성들였습니다. 그와 마찬가지로 한국 사람 대표, 일본 사람 대표, 미국 사람 대표들에게 정성을 들이라고 했습니다. 이곳을 수련장소로 해서 앞으로 세계의 모든 젊은이들, 세계의 통일교회 정수부대를 코디악 정신을 전수하기 위해 수련시킬 것입니다. 각 국가 대표를 뽑아서 교육하는 것입니다. 아버님이 지금까지 지내 오던 것처럼 비가 오나 눈이 오나 수련해야 됩니다. 사람들의 배포를 길러 주는 데 있어서 제일 좋은 곳은 산이 아니라 바다입니다. 산은 바람이 부나 천년이 가나 그 모양 그 꼴입니다. 육지에서는 언제든지 길만 따라가면 마음대로 갈 수 있지만 바다는 그렇지 않습니다. 어제까지는 잔잔한 호수와 같아서 거기에 담요를 펴고 자고 싶은 고요한 바다였지만, 오늘 아침에는 보기에도 무서운 모양으로 변합니다. 변화무쌍합니다. 그것을 고요한 바다, 호수와 같이 느낄 수 있도록 하기 위한 훈련이 사나이에게 절대 필요합니다.
 
12 예수님이 베드로에게 사람을 낚는 어부가 되라고 했는데, 사람을 고기로 상징한 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 고기를 잡아 해양권을 쥐면 육지권까지 쥘 수 있다는 것이 섭리의 관입니다. 따라서 알래스카를 점령하면 모든 해양권을 점령하는 것이 됩니다. 미국 수산자원의 85퍼센트가 알래스카에서 나옵니다. 10퍼센트는 태평양에서 나오고, 그다음에 5퍼센트는 대서양에서 나옵니다.
 
13 고기들이 추운 알래스카 지방을 왜 찾아가느냐? 더운 데 있던 고기가 한대지방을 찾아가는 것은 음양의 조화라고 할 수 있습니다. 주체와 대상이 화합하는 곳에 가서 새끼를 치려고 하기 때문에 전부 유동하는 것입니다. 도 담수에 있던 고기는 짠물을 마셔야 새끼를 칠 수 있습니다. 참게 같은 것이 그렇습니다. 이상적인 것이 되고 번식을 하기 위해서는 플러스와 마이너스가 화합해야 됩니다.
 
14 미국 사람들도 알래스카를 잘 모릅니다. 앞으로는 툰드라 평원의 시대가 오게 됩니다. 툰드라는 북극과 알래스카, 캐나다, 러시아의 초원지대를 말합니다. 그 시대에 누가 주역이 될 것이냐? 이것이 문제입니다. 이 알래스카는 바다를 중심삼고 모든 것이 연결되어 있습니다. 바다의 자원, 어류와 원자재가 집중돼 있는 곳이 알래스카입니다. 세계의 수산자원 가운데서 75퍼센트가 미국에 있는데, 미국 수산자원의 85퍼센트가 알래스카에 있습니다. 그다음 자원의 획득자는 이 툰드라 평원밖에 없습니다. 알래스카에서 비행기로 모스크바, 런던, 뉴욕까지 갈 수 있습니다. 그래서 이곳은 교통의 요지입니다. 앞으로 인간의 힘으로 알래스카의 평원에 농작물을 재배하는 것은 문제가 없습니다. 지금도 온상 재배를 하고 있는데 거기에서 바나나도 나옵니다. 그것이 가능한 시대가 옵니다. 먹고 살 수 있는 모든 산물이 알래스카에서 나오게 된다면 어떻게 될 것인가 생각해 보라는 것입니다. 면적이 캘리포니아주의 4배라는데 그만큼 방대한 지역입니다. 거기에는 무진장의 원자재가 있습니다. 그곳의 주인은 러시아도 아니고 미국도 아닙니다. 앞으로는 원자재를 누가 지배하느냐 하는 것이 문제입니다. 아버님이 그것을 준비하고 있습니다.
 
15 알래스카는 관광객을 유치하면 세계적인 명소가 됩니다. 한국은 1994년에 아주 더웠는데, 그렇게 더울 때에는 돈이 있으면 알래스카로 가는 것입니다. 알래스카가 한국에서 비행기로 한 6시간 걸립니다. 저녁에 비행기를 타서 비행기에서 자고 아침에 내리는 일일생활권 내에 들어가는 것입니다. 금요일 밤에 비행기를 타고 가서 토요일과 일요일에 낚시하고 저녁에 돌아오면 월요일 아침에 출근할 수 있습니다. 그 지방에 가게 된다면 주변의 산꼭대기에는 눈이 덮여 있습니다. 눈 덮인 그 동산 아래에는 꽃동산이 있습니다. 꽃이 피어 있는 그 아래에는 푸른 바다, 아름다운 호수 같은 바다가 있어서 낚시질을 하는 것입니다. 얼마나 선경인가 생각해 보십시오. 사방을 보면 병풍같이 고산이 둘러싸고 있고, 곧은 나무로 산림이 우거져 있습니다. 그 아래 수풀 가운데에는 보지 못한 꽃들이 많습니다. 그것이 호수 가까이에 있습니다. 또 물가를 중심으로 짐승들이 많이 삽니다.
 
16 북극 지역을 아버님이 찾아갔습니다. 북극은 물이 얼어붙은 땅입니다. 알래스카 코디악을 중심삼고 미국 해양사업의 중심자리에 간 것입니다. 국제알래스카수산회사(ISA)를 중심삼고 남극을 연결하는 것입니다. 인류의 식량을 확보하기 위해서입니다. 앞으로 식량문제는 바다와 물을 위주로 하지 않으면 해결되지 않습니다. 지금도 이 땅이 1년에 15제곱킬로미터 이상씩 사막화합니다. 나무가 점점 없어짐으로써 물이 침투하지 못하고 점점 땅이 사막화한다는 것입니다. 이것이 현실적 문제입니다. 그렇기 때문에 사막을 극복해야 됩니다. 사막을 극복하는 것은 힘 가지고 안 됩니다. 이것은 물로 극복해야 됩니다. 그래서 바닷물이나 맑은 물을 확보해야 됩니다. 미국이 알래스카의 기름을 몇 천 마일의 파이프를 통해서 이송하고 있습니다. 마찬가지로 바닷물을 몇 천 마일 옮겨 갈 수 있습니다. 지구성의 사막에 파이프만 설치하면 해양세게에 살고 있는 모든 풀들을 얼마든지 배양할 수 있고 그것을 개발해서 양식장을 무한히 할 수 있습니다. 사람들이 농사짓는 땅이 3천 평이면 이 3천 평의 10분의 1일 300평을 안 가지고도 양식을 하고 살 수 있습니다. 인류의 식량문제와 생활문제의 해결은 반드시 물을 통하지 않으면 안 됩니다. 그래서 해양사업을 시작했습니다.

真の父母様は、アラスカでも海洋摂理のために多くの精誠を注がれた。アラスカは、世 界的漁場として、魚類と資源が集中しており、世界的な交通の要衝である。真の父母様は、「国際アラスカ水産会社(ISA)」を立ててアラスカを開発し、人 類の食糧問題を解決しようと努力された。また、アラスカで釣りを通して、海について食口たちを教育し、訓練された。
 
9     海に勝つ人が、世界を支配します。海は陸地の三倍になります。すべての金銀財宝が海に埋まっています。それが、主人を待っているのです。海を占領して克服しようというのがアラスカ精神です。
 
10    アラスカ精神とは何でしょうか。早朝五時に起き、御飯を食べて海に出て、夜十二時に帰ってくるのです。深夜の一時や二時に帰ることもあります。責任量を果たせなければ、帰ってくることができません。
事情を酌んであげるのではありません。修練過程では、責任を果たせなければならないのです。魚を釣るのを見物するのではなく、訓練するのです。魚釣 りの訓練をするのは、これから世界のどこに行っても働ける指導者にするためです。誰でも魚が釣れるのではありません。専門的でなければできません。多くの 経験をして学んでこそ、魚が釣れるのです。
 
11    お父様はコディアクで、早朝五時から夜十二時まで、雨が降っても風が吹いても、いくら天候が悪くても海に出て、精誠を尽くしました。それと同じように、韓 国人の代表、日本人の代表、アメリカ人の代表たちに、「精誠を尽くしなさい」と言いました。ここを修練場所として、今後、世界のすべての若者たち、世界の 統一教会の精鋭部隊が、コディアク精神を相続するための修練を受けるのです。各国の代表を選んで教育します。
お父様が今までやってきたように、雨が降っても雪が降っても、修練しなければなりません。人々の胆力を鍛えるのに一番良い所は、山ではなく海です。 山は、風が吹いても、千年たっても、その姿、その形のままです。陸地では、道にさえ沿っていけばいつでも思いどおりに行けますが、海はそうではありませ ん。
きのうまでは穩やかな湖のようで、そこに毛布を広げて寝たいと思うほど静かな海だったのに、けさは、見るのも恐ろしい姿に変わるのです。千変万化です。それを、静かな海や湖のように感じられるようにするための訓練が、男には絶対に必要なのです。
 
12    イエス様はぺテロに、「人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう」(マタイ四・一九)と言いましたが、魚は人を象徴しています。ですから、魚を釣って海洋圏を握れば、陸地圏まで握ることができるというのが摂理観です。
したがって、アラスカを占領すれば、すべての海洋圏を占領することになります。アメリカの水産資源の八五パーセントがアラスカで獲れます。一〇パーセントは太平洋で獲れ、それから、五パーセントは大西洋で獲れるのです。
 
13    魚たちは、寒いアラスカ地方になぜ訪ねていくのでしょうか。暑い所にいた魚が寒帯地方に訪ねていくことは、陰陽の調和と言うことができます。主体と対象が和合する所に行って卵を産もうとするので、すべて流動するのです。
また、淡水にいた魚は、塩水を飲んでこそ、卵を産むことができます。中国藻屑蟹のようなものがそうです。理想的な姿になって、繁殖するためには、プラスとマイナスが和合しなければなりません。
 
14    アメリカの人々も、アラスカのことをよく知りません。これからは、ツンドラ平原の時代が来ます。ツンドラとは、北極とアラスカ、カナダ、ロシアの草原地帯 のことを言います。その時代に、誰が主役になるのでしょうか。これが問題です。このアラスカは、海を中心としてすべてのものが連結されています。海の資源 や魚類が集中している所がアラスカです。多くの水産資源がアメリカにあるのですが、アメリカの水産資源の約八割がアラスカにあるのです。次の資源の獲得地 は、このツンドラ平原しかありません。アラスカから飛行機でモスクワ、ロンドン、ニューヨークまで行けます。ですから、ここは交通の要地です。
今後、人間の力でアラスカの平原に農作物を栽培することは問題ありません。今も温宋栽培をしていますが、バナナもそこから収穫できるのです。それが 可能な時代が来ます。食べて暮らすための産物がアラスカから出てくるようになれば、どのようになるか考えてみなさいというのです。面積はカリフォルニア州 の四倍だと言いますが、それほど膨大な地域です。そこには無尽蔵の資源があります。そこの主人は、ロシアでもなく、アメリカでもありません。これからは、 誰が資源を支配するかが問題です。お父様は、それを準備しているのです。
 
15    アラスカは、観光客を誘致すれば世界的な名所になります。一九九四年の韓国はとても暑かったのですが、そのように暑い時には、お金があればアラスカに行くのです。
アラスカは、韓国から飛行機で約六時間かかります。夕方に飛行機に乗り、飛行機で一晩寝て朝降りる、一日生活圏内に入るのです。金曜日の夜に飛行機 に乗って行き、土曜日と日曜日に釣りをして、夕方、帰ってくれば、月曜日の朝に出勤できるのです。その地方に行けば、周辺の山の頂上には雪がかぶさってい ます。雪をかぶったその丘の下に、青々とした緑地帯があり、そこには花園があります。花が咲いているその下には、青い海、美しい湖のような海があって、釣 りができるのです。どれほど仙境のような所か、考えてみてください。四方を見れば、塀風のように高い山に囲まれていて、まっすぐに伸びた木で山林が生い 茂っています。その下の茂みの中には、見たことのない花々がたくさんあります。それが、湖の近くにあるのです。また、水辺を中心に、獣たちがたくさん棲ん でいます。
 
16    お父様は、北極地域を訪ねていきました。北極は、水が凍りついた地です。アラスカのコディアクを中心として、アメリカの海洋事業の中心地に行ったのです。 「国際アラスカ水産会社(ISA)」を中心に、南極を連結するのです。人類の食糧を確保するためです。今後、食糧問題は、海と水を中心にしなければ解決さ れません。今も、一年に十五平方キロメートル以上、土地が砂漠化しています。木が次第になくなることにより、水が浸透できず、だんだんと土地が砂漠化して いるというのです。これは現実的な問題です。
ですから、砂漠を克服しなければなりません。砂漠を克服するのは、力ではできません。これは水で克服しなければならないのです。ですから、海水や淡 水を確保しなければなりません。アメリカは、アラスカの油を数千マイルのパイプを通して移送しています。同じように、海水を数千マイル運ぶこともでき、淡 水を数千マイル運ぶこともできます。地球星の砂漠にパイブさえ設置すれば、海洋世界に生えているすべての草をいくらでも培養することができ、それを開発し て、養殖場を無限に造ることができます。人々が農業に使う土地が三千坪であれば、この三千坪の十分の一である三百坪でも、養殖をして暮らせるのです。人類 の食糧問題と生活問題の解決は、必ず水を通さなければなりません。ですから、海洋事業を始めたのです。

True Parents also invested great effort for the ocean providence in Alaska. The Alaskan waters are a world-famous fishing ground rich with nutrients for the many teeming fisheries concentrated there. As part of their effort to address humanity's food shortage, True Parents established International Seafoods of Alaska (ISA) to develop the state's resources. There they also educated and trained members by taking them fishing on the ocean.


9 Whoever conquers the ocean can conquer the world. The ocean's surface area is almost two and a half times greater than that of the land. All kinds of treasures are under its waves, awaiting their true owners. The spirit of seizing and conquering the ocean is the "spirit of Alaska." (263-135, 1994/08/21)


10 What is the "the spirit of Alaska?" It is to wake up at 5:00 o'clock in the morning to eat and go out on the ocean, and not return until midnight or even 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. If you have not caught your quota, you do not go home. There are no excuses. During this training you cannot quit. You have to accomplish your responsibility. You are not here to watch; you are here to do. The purpose of this fishing training is to make you a person who can be a leader wherever you go in the world. 11 In Kodiak, Alaska, I always went out to the ocean at 5:00 in the morning and fished until midnight. I went out in rain and wind, no matter how bad the weather was, maintaining my work ethic. I told Korean, Japanese and American members to do the same. I intend to make this place into a training ground and bring all the young people of the world here so they cah inherit the Kodiak spirit. Here I will train them to be the elite troops of the Unification movement. We will select representatives from each nation to be trained in this manner. They will be trained in the same way that I have been living, going out on the ocean in rain or snow.

The best place to develop your fortitude is not in the mountains but out on the stormy ocean. A mountain never changes. Its every crag and valley will remain exactly the same for 1,000 years. No matter what happens, as long as you follow the mountain trail you will be okay. But the ocean is not at all like that. Yesterday the water may have been as calm as a quiet lake, so calm you could lay out a blanket and sleep on it. But today, the ocean may be drastically different, with waves that scare you just to look at them. The ocean is forever changing and unpredictable. You must be trained so that, no matter how furious the storm, you stay as calm as the calmest lake. To become real men and women, you absolutely need this training. (264-095, 1994/10/09)


12 Jesus told Peter to become a fisher of men. He used fish to symbolize human beings. Therefore, providentially speaking, if we can gain dominion over the ocean by catching fish, we can gain authority over the land as well.

Alaska supplies 85 percent of the fish consumed in the United States. Five percent comes from the Atlantic Ocean, and the other ten percent comes from elsewhere, in the Pacific Ocean. Therefore, if we conquer the ocean off Alaska, we should be able to have authority anywhere. (168-069, 1987/09/01)


13 Why do fish teem in the cold waters of Alaska? Fish in warm waters go looking for cold waters because of what we call "balancing yin and yang." They move because all creatures want to give birth to their young where subject partners and object partners are in harmony. For the same reason, some freshwater creatures must enter salt water to breed. The Chinese mitten crab is one of them. Yang and yin must come into harmony in order for each to become its ideal self and procreate. (207-083, 1990/11/01)


14 Most Americans do not know much about Alaska. Yet the era of the tundra is coming. The tundra refers to the region of Alaska, the North Pole, Canada and Russia. When this era comes, who will lead? That is the question.

Alaska is connected to everything via the ocean. Marine resources, fisheries and raw materials are abundant in Alaska. Eighty-five percent of the United States' marine resources are harvested in Alaska. Alaska has other resources located in the tundra. Also, Alaska has the potential to become a major transportation hub, from which you can fly to Moscow, London and New York.

In the future, it will not be a problem to grow crops on the plains of Alaska. Soon it will become feasible. Even now, people are engaging in greenhouse cultivation, even growing bananas. Just imagine what it will be like when all the worlds edible plants and crops are grown in Alaska. Alaska is four times the size of California. It is that big. Also, there are enormous amounts of natural resources there. The true owner of that land is neither the United States nor Russia. 15 Alaska will become a world-famous tourist destination if it focuses on accommodating tourists. This year it was really hot in Korea. In the future, people with money will go to Alaska when it gets too hot. It takes only about six hours to fly from Korea to Alaska. You can plan a weekend excursion, leaving on a Friday evening, sleeping on the plane and arriving on Saturday morning. You can go fishing on Saturday and Sunday. Boarding the plane Sunday night, you can return to work in Korea on Monday morning.

There in Alaska, you will see snow-covered mountains all around you. Below the snow-covered mountains you will find green meadows blooming with wildflowers. Below them lies the blue ocean, looking like a beautiful lake, where you can fish. Just imagine the enchantment of that land. Tall mountains surround you, their scenery unfolding in all directions. The forests are thick with trees. In the meadows many flowers you have never seen before welcome you. The flowers grow near the water. There are also many animals living by the waterside. 16 I visited the area around the North Pole that is covered with ice. I established myself at the heart of the United States fishing industry, which is based in Kodiak, Alaska. Through International Seafoods of Alaska I am connecting this area to the South Pole. It is for the purpose of securing food for humanity. There will be food shortages in the future that cannot be addressed without utilizing the world's oceans and bodies of water.

Even now desertification of the land is progressing at a rate of more than 15 million hectares annually. The gradual disappearance of trees is preventing water from penetrating the soil, and this is leading to gradual desertification. This is the reality we are facing today. There is a way to overcome this desertification, but it is not through force; it takes water. This is why we must secure either ocean water or fresh water.

America is transporting oil from Alaska through thousands of miles of pipelines. In the same way we can install pipelines to transport ocean water and fresh water across thousands of miles to the desert areas of the earth. We can use the seawater to create fish farms in the desert regions, planting sea grass to make an environment for all kinds of fish. The opportunities to develop this resource are unlimited. A one-tenth-hectare fish farm can produce as much food as a one-hectare farm on land. It uses only one tenth of the area. Water is part of the equation for solving the food problem and all the problems we face in our daily lives. This is why I began a seafood business. (325-080, 2000/06/30)
