765 HPLC PUMP Alcott's new Model 765 HPLC pump has been designed to comply with all facets of HPLC, from microbore applications, through preparative solvent deliveries to chemically inert requirements. Key among the design requirements for the Model 765 are reliability and cost effectiveness. DESCRIPTION For a fraction of the cost of competing systems, the Model 765 provides much more. This is achieved by making additional capabilities available as standard to the basic system. For example, the 765 comes with a RS232C and 20mA Current Loop interface. These allow the user to control the pump from a central computer or manually on the lab bench. Since it is microcomputer based, the Model 765 allows parameter entry through a set of keys on the front panel. Also, visual feedback is provided via an LED display on the front panel. An additional standard feature is solvent compressibility control to help optimize your chromatography when you change solvents. Solvent change is accomplished quickly and easily via a purge valve conveniently located on the front panel. Changes from microbore to analytical to preparative operation are attainable by simply exchanging pump heads, which are also located on the front panel. For buffer applications, a piston rinsing option is available to reduce seal wear and to protect against piston damage. The microbore pump head provides flows from 0.001mL to 1 mL per minute, the analytical pump head allows flows from 0.01mL to 5 mL per minute, and the preparative pump head produces flows from 0.1mL to 20 mL per minute. The Model 765 can sustain pressures up to 8900 psi (60 MPa) with the microbore pump head while preparative operation can go as high as 2200 psi (15 MPa). The Model 765 HPLC Pump is a serial dual piston pump with only two check valves which provide a minimum rest pulsation. Use of an additional pulse dampener is generally not necessary, even when using a Refractive Index detector. Highly accurate piezoresistive pressure monitoring allows extremely fast control of the pump motor which results in virtually pulse-free flow. Alcott's new Model 765 HPLC Pump is truly state-of-the-art in LC solvent delivery. This pump is trouble-free and has every feature necessary for universal laboratory operation at a very reasonable price. For more information, contact your Alcott sales representative. BENEFITS

795 VARIABLE UV/Vis DETECTOR
DESCRIPTION Variable wavelength, high sensitivity, and a selection of flow cells make the Model 795 Detector ideal for liquid chromatography applications from microbore to preparative scale. A direct mechanical drive on the unit뭩 front panel sets the desired wavelength. The standard deuterium lamp covers UV wavelengths; an optional tungsten lamp is available for visible wavelengths. The lamps are prealigned, readily accessible, and can be easily changed. The Model 795 features 12 switch-selectable absorbance ranges. Low-noise electronics, high-noise rejection filtering, and low-loss optics preserve the detector뭩 high sensitivity and ensure low-noise, low-drift performance. Flow cells are available to support a full range of applications, from microbore to prep. These cells eliminate dead volume and minimize refractive index contributions. The standard is a 6 mm, 9 µL, Type 316 stainless steel cell for analytical HPLC applications. Kel-F flow cells are available for biocompatible applications; flow cells for microbore and capillary electrophoresis applications are also available. A variable path length (0-3 mm) prep cell can be used to adapt the Model 795 to preparative or largescale separations. The flow cell compartment is located outside the main instrument housing for easy access. The Model 795 also features autozero and event marking using front and rear panel controls. The unit can be zeroed manually from the front panel or automatically using an event switch connected to the rear panel. A variety of flow cells and other detector accessories are available for the Model 795. Maximize sensitivity through continuously variable wavelength optimization Convenient front panel controls Manual or remote autozero High sensitivity for your most demanding applications Flow cells for every application Easy access and maintenance * Kel-F is a registered trademark of 3M Company

Products - 708AL Series of HPLC Autosamplers |
Chromatography 5680 Oakbrook Pkwy Suite 148 Norcross, GA 30093 1-800-229-5052 770-248-2170 Fax: (770)248-2180 Email: info@alcottchromatography.com |
708AL POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT AUTOSAMPLER The Alcott Model 708AL Positive Displacement Autosampler is an automatic sampling and fixed volume injection system. The 708AL requires no accessory gases or syringes and, while using Alcotts' patented FilterCapTM, will automatically filter your sample "In-The-Vial". The 708AL can be equipped with or without an injection valve to allow for optimum configuration for existing or newly designed systems. OPERATION The benefits of the Positive Displacement technique are many, including viscosity independence in sample transfer from vial to valve's loop, the highest injection precision possible and simplicity of operation. The technique, as demonstrated below, is such that a uniquely designed cap is pressed into an Alcott CertifiedTM 8mm vial which contains sample. Sample is then transferred to the injection valve by the piston action of the hollow autosampler needle which first penetrates the vial cap, then uses the cap to displace the vial's contents.
