세상 돌아가는 것을 뚫어져라 쳐다보면 하나님은 전혀 안 보일 것입니다. 그냥 강한 자들, 돈 많은 자들, 독똑한 자들이 역사를 주무른다고 생각하기 쉽습니다. 하루빨리 그들 눈에 들고, 그들에게 낙점되고, 그들과 한편이 되는 것이 살길이고 성공의 길이라고 여겨질 수 있습니다. 그런데 정말 그런가? 스바냐 선지자는 이스라엘 땅의 주변 나라들 즉, 블레셋, 모압, 암몬과 그리고 먼 거리에 있는 나라들 곧 구스와 앗수르에 대해 하나님의 심판을 선언합니다.

Staring at what is going on in the world, God will be invisible at all. It's easy to think that the strong, the rich, and the strong are the ones who control history. It can be seen by them as soon as possible, chosen by them, and considered the way to live and succeed to be one with them. But is it really? The Prophet Svanha declares God's judgment on the surrounding countries of the land of Israel, the Philistines, Moab, Ammon, and the distant states of Gus and Assur.

이 땅에서 하나님 나라를 사는 우리들이 되기를 소원합니다. 그런 사람이라야 장차 하나님 나라를 갈 수 있기 때문입니다. 일이 안 풀려도, 인간관계로 서운해도, 속상한 일이 있어도, 문제 너머에 계신 하나님을 바라보며, 모든 일이 그분의 통치권 아래에 있다는 것을 믿으며,

힘차게 사는 우리들이 되게 하옵소서.
