일년동안 정성껏 준비한 시험보느라 수고 많으셨습니다!

아쉬움도 있고, 만족스럽기도 한, 희비가 엇갈리는 시험이었겠지만,

모두 원하는 결과로 좋은 소식 함께 나누기를 바랍니다...

이번 시험엔 배운 내용들이 워낙 많이 출제되긴 했지만,

특히 2021 시험, 첫문제, A-1번 문제, 기입형 realia를 적중시켜서 (B-6 빈칸 machanics 도 모고에서 적중)

저는 아주 보람을 느꼈습니다.  2019년 A-1 빈칸, kinesthetic 에 이어 두번째로

임용시험의 첫 빈칸(A-1)을 적중시켜 좀 더 의미있었습니다.

4회 모의고사 해설하면서, realia철자 조심하고,

또 단수형이지만 복수동사를 취한다는 특이한 점을 강조했었지요.

T: Excellent! That is correct. Now I’m going to make the hints a little bit more difficult. This is a popular plant that people give as gifts. We have several plants on the table. Which one would make a good gift?
S3: I think this one! It’s pretty!
T: Very good! What is it called?
S3: Ah…Ranunculus?

S3: That’s my mother’s favorite. It would be a good gift for her.

Teacher’s Log:
There is nothing like an "object" lesson. Objects – food items, cosmetics, household gadgets, tools, clothing, flowers, etc., – always add some significant reality to the classroom. ______________ are especially useful and important for teaching low-level students or young learners who benefit from tangible objects that can stimulate kinesthetic connections. Rather than using pictures from a textbook or power-point, I used actual objects in the lesson. I had objects on table and made the student(s) pick out the object after giving some verbal hints. It is important to simplify with younger students, while adding more intricate, exciting, and life-related items as the students get older, which would be much helpful to improve students' understanding of other cultures and real life situations.

[참고1] Realia와 Props 차이

Realia와 Props의 공통점은 실제 현실세계와 우리의 삶에 존재하는 실재물이라는 점이고, 외국어 학습에 유용하게 쓰일 수 있다. 둘 다 언어학습의 다양한 영역에 활용해서 교육효과를 높일 수 있는데, Realia는 주로 학습시 학생들이 교실에서 직접 실물을 만져보고 동적인 활동을 하면서 ”어휘“ 배우는데 큰 도움을 준다. Realia는 우리 주변에서 볼 수 있고 구할 수 있는 어떤 물체든지 다 포함할 수 있음 - 과일, 옷, 음식물, 화장품, 운동도구, 등등....


한편, Props는 원래 연극이나 영화에 필요한 소품을 지칭하는 표현인데, 교육학에서는 어떤 발표를 하거나, 짧은 촌극, story 등등을 가르킬 때, 좀 더 극적인 효과를 주기 위해 쓸 수 있는 모든 용품, 소품을 포괄적으로 말한다. props가 실제 우리가 쓰는 그대로의 사물일 수도 있고, moppets, 가면, 각종 의상, 등등...만들어서 쓸 수도 있고... 역시 셀 수 없이 많이 있음.

Props can be anything used to aid in the telling of a story or presentation...etc. In the classroom, props can be used throughout the story/presentation or just as a trigger at a turning point in the audience imagination. Props can be chosen to be the focus of vocabulary words, or for teaching actions or expressions. Props could be maps, balls, cookies, a stone, a scarf, a flower, anything that has to do with anything in the story.
