Bible Reading - Proverbs 15:1~11

15:1 A gentle answer turns away(외면하다) wrath, 유순한 대답은 진노(분노)를 가라앉혀도

but a harsh word stirs up(휘젓다) anger.거친 말은 분노를 일으킨다.

15:2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge,

지혜로운 자의 혀는 지식을 권하여도

but the mouth of the fool gushes(쏟아지다. 지껄여대다) folly.

어리석은 자의 입은 어리석음을 지껄인다.

15:3 The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.

여호와의 눈은 어디에나 계시며, 악한 자와 선한 자를 감찰하십니다.

15:4 The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, 치료하는 혀는 생명의 나무이나

but a deceitful tongue  a deceitful tongue crushes(으깨다, 눌러부수다) the spirit.  

속이는 혀는 영혼을 상하게 한다.

15:5 A fool spurns(일축하다,차버리다) his father's discipline,

어리석은 자는 그의 아버지의 훈육을 일축해 버리지만

but whoever heeds(유의하다,주의를 기울이다) correction shows prudence.

징계에 유의하는 신중함을 보여준다.

15:6 The house of the righteous contains great treasure, 

의인의 집은 대단한 보물을 간직하지만

but the income of the wicked brings them trouble.

악한 자의 수입은 그들에게 곤란을 가져온다.

15:7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge; 지혜로운 자의 입술은 지식을 퍼뜨리지만

not so the hearts of fools. 어리석은 자의 마음은 그렇지 않다.

15:8 The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, 

여호와께서는 악한 자의 제물을 혐오하시지만

but the prayer of the upright pleases him. 정직한 자의 기도는 그를 기쁘게 한다.

15:9 The LORD detests the way of the wicked 여호와께서 악한 자의 길을 혐오하시나

but he loves those who pursue righteousness. 의를 따르는 자들을 사랑하신다.

15:10 Stern discipline(엄격한 규율) awaits him who leaves the path;

길을 떠난 자에게는 엄격한 훈련이 기다리고 있다.

he who hates correction will die. 징계를 싫어하는 자는 죽을 것이다.

15:11 Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD

사망과 멸망은 여호와 앞에 열려 있다

--how much more the hearts of men!

하물며 사람들의 마음은 더욱더 그러하다!
