Hamburg Keen On Kanu
It appears that succour may come for Nwankwo Kanu, as German Bundesliga side, SV Hamburg, are keen on closing a deal with the Nigerian before the close of the transfer window this summer.
With Portsmouth out of the way after their manager, Harry Redknapp, declared that he is no longer interested in bringing the Nigerian to Fratton Park, SV Hamburg have established strong presence in clinching a deal with the Nigerian international.
The German club wants to bring the former Arsenal and Inter Milan marksman to Germany so as to add his wealth of experience when they campaign in one of Europe’s club competitions next season.
Kanu is a free agent after being released by West Brom but the 31-year-old, who scored six goals last season, would still command sizeable wages.
