To Sardis

Write this /to Sardis, to the Angel of the church.
The One /holding the Seven Spirits of God in one hand,
a firm grip on the Seven Stars with the other,
speaks:
“I see right through [your work].
You have [a reputation for vigor and zest], but you’re dead, stone-dead.
* to the Angel of the church ; To the minister of the Church
Weymouth New Testament
To the minister of the Church in Ephesus write as follows:
* Unto the angel — That is, to the pastor, presiding elder, or bishop, called an angel
because he was God’s messenger (as the word angel signifies) to the people,
or his minister appointed to serve them. 참조 https://biblehub.com/commentaries/revelation/2-1.htm
The One /holding the Seven Spirits of God in one hand

* have a firm grip on ... 1. Literally, to be seizing someone or something with a very tight grasp.
* the Seven Spirits of God ; Holy Spirit
참고 https://biblehub.com/commentaries/revelation/3-1.htm
the Holy Spirit of God in the completeness and manifoldness of its sevenfold energies, conceived of as possessed and bestowed by the Lamb of God, the Lord of all the churches. The use of the plural and the number seven is remarkable,
but quite explicable, on the ground of the sacred number expressing perfection, and not inconsistent with personal unity,
* see through : to understand the truth about someone or something and not allow yourself to be deceived:
* Vigour – Forceful exertion. Zest is a synonym for vigour in zeal topic.
* Stone-dead - as lifeless as a stone.

“Up on your feet!
Take a deep breath!
Maybe there’s life in you yet.
But I wouldn’t know it /by looking at your busywork;
nothing of God’s work has been completed.
* 명령문 (stand) Up on your feet
A man is there. 한 사람이 거기라는 장소에 있다 vs There is a man.
* life ; A source of vitality; an animating force: 생명
* yet ; Up to a specified time; thus far: 아직은
* 전목인 동명사구 looking at your busywork

* desperate ; feeling, showing, or involving a hopeless sense, Having lost all hope; despairing.
* think of 잠시 생각하기 vs think about 곰곰 생각하기
* 목적인 명사구 the gift (that) you once had (목) in your hands 명+목적격 관대절
* 생략된 접속사 찾기 the gift () you once had in your hands
turn back /to God에서 전치사 to가 없으면 turn back God 하나님을 돌려세우라는 억지 문장이 됨
(부사적으로 쓰이는 명사구는 예외 come /the way you are)
* (Think of ) the Message (that) you heard with your ears

Think of 생각해 보라 [the gift 그 선물을 (that) 그건 you 네가 once 한때 had 가졌던 /in your hands 네 손안에],
