"Black Tea" was cultivated by Kanjiro Okamoto in Japan and was released in 1973.
The rose known as "Black Tea," or "Dark Tea," is a variety with a plant height of 120-150 cm and a maximum width of up to 120 cm. Its plant shape is semi-horizontal, and the flowers have a diameter of 12-14 cm with a cup-shaped, high center. The flower color resembles that of black tea, and under high temperatures, it tends to take on a shade close to vermilion. It boasts a rich, mature tea aroma. Thanks to its unique flower color and elegant flower shape, it can also be used as a cut flower variety.
However, it's worth noting that this rose variety has slow growth, is densely thorned.
