CMAs(cash management accounts)are accounts offered by securities companies.
The money in CMAs is invested in commercial papers, CDs (certificates of deposit) or government bonds
and the profit made goes to the account holder.
As a result, CMAs offer interest rates higher than thoes offered by banks.
CMAs provide features similar to bank account.
You can freely deposit and withdraw money in and out of these accounts.
You can also pay bills via automatic transfers through these accounts.
There is one important thing to remember, though. CMAs may function like bank accounts,
but they do not guarantee the principal in your account.
So they may not be suitable for long term investments.
