Bible Reading - Proverbs 16:1~11

16:1 To man belong the plans of the heart,

마음의 계획이 사람에게 속하여도

but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.

여호와로부터 혀의 응답이 온다.

16:2 All a man's ways seem innocent(순결한, 결백한) to him, 

사람의 모든 계획은 그에게 결백하여 보일 수 있으나

but motives are weighed(무게를 달다. 심사숙고하다) by the LORD.

사람의 동기는 여호와에 의하여 평가된다.

16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

네가 하는 모든 것을 여호와께 맡겨라. 그러면 너의 계획이 이루어질 것이다.

16:4 The LORD works out(성취하다) everything for his own ends--even the wicked for a day of disaster.

여호와께서는 모든 것을 자기의 목적을 위하여 이루시나니, 악한 자도 재앙의 날을 위하여 이루시느니라.

16:5 The LORD detests all the proud of heart.

여호와께서는 모든 마음의 교만을 혐오하신다.

Be sure of this: 이것을 꼭 알아 두어라.

They will not go unpunished.그들은 처벌받지 않을 수 없을 것이다.(반드시 처벌받을 것이다.)

16:6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; 

사랑과 신실함을 통해 죄는 대속되어지며

through the fear of the LORD a man avoids(피하다) evil.

사람은 여호와를 경외함을 통하여 악을 피한다.

16:7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, 

사람의 길이 여호와께 기쁨을 드릴 때

he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

그는 그의 적들과도 평화롭게 살게 하신다.

16:8 Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice(불의).

불의로 많은 것을 얻는 것보다 의로 적은 것을 얻는 것이 더 낫다.

16:9 In his heart a man plans his course(과정), 

사람이 그의 마음으로 그의 길을 계획하지만 

but the LORD determines(결정하다. 정하다) his steps.

여호와께서 그의 발걸음을 결정하신다.

16:10 The lips of a king speak as an oracle, 왕의 입술이 신탁을 말하면서

and his mouth should not betray justice. 그의 입이 정의를 배반하지 말아야 한다.

16:11 Honest scales and balances(천칭) are from the LORD;

정직한 저울과 천칭은 주님(여호와)께로부터 왔고

all the weights in the bag are of his making.

가방 속의 모든 무게는 그가 만드신 것이다.
