폭포수(Waterfall)

- 김완수 시인(2026년 노벨문학상 후보 / 멕시코) -

한순간도 멈춤 없이

벼랑 끝을 향해

온몸으로 곤두박질친다

뒤엉킨 물살이 짐승처럼 울부짖으며

하늘을 찢는다

부서진 물방울들은

바위에 부딪혀

눈물처럼 흩어지지만

그 속에서 금 간 틈의 울음이

씻겨 나간다

안개 사이로 피어오르는 빛

무지개를 품고

추락의 끝에서

하늘 향해 물기둥으로 선다

Waterfall

Without a moment’s pause

Toward the edge of the cliff

It plunges headlong with its whole body

Entangled torrents howl like a beast

Tearing the sky apart.

Shattered droplets

Strike against the rocks

And scatter like tears

But the cries within those fractured crevices

Are washed away.

Light rising through the mist

Cradling a rainbow

At the end of the fall,

It stands as a column of water toward the sky.
