Hello, my name is Jung Kyung-hoon. I graduated from Naju Middle School and am currently attending Naju High School. I am 17 years old.
My hobby is exercising, and among all types of exercise, I love running the most. The reason is that when I run, I only focus on the physical effort, and all the complicated thoughts in my head disappear. When I exercise, I can temporarily forget about my worries regarding studying and my future. Also, when I set a goal and achieve it, I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride, which makes me enjoy exercising even more.
When I was young, I was physically weak and often hospitalized, so I couldn’t move around much. At that time, even running for just 30 seconds would leave me exhausted. However, through continuous exercise and effort, I became faster, and in middle school, I even participated in competitions as a student athlete and won several awards. Because of this, I still love exercising and continue to do so.
Now, I would like to talk about my school life. During my three years in middle school, I made many great memories and formed strong friendships that continue to this day. Although I experienced many hardships and emotional wounds, my friends helped me overcome them, and I was truly happy.
When I entered high school, I had many worries and fears. There were many unfamiliar classmates, and I found it difficult to start conversations. However, I was grateful that some of them approached me first and made me feel welcome. Compared to middle school, there is a lot more to study, and at first, I struggled because I didn’t know what to focus on. At first, my classmates were strangers, so it was hard to approach them, but as we spent time together studying until late in the evening, we naturally became close, which makes me very happy.
Since there are so many new things to learn in high school, I often feel physically exhausted and sleepy. When I took my first mock exam, I was shocked by my results, which were very different from my middle school scores. This increased my anxiety and pressure about studying.
As for my future, I haven’t thought about it much yet, and my career path is still uncertain. Recently, I have learned a lot about different career options, and I feel like I am starting to get a clearer idea of what I might want to do. However, I still often ask myself, “What do I truly like? What do I want to do the most? What am I really good at?”
Through this process, I realized that I still have a lot to learn. I have decided to gain more knowledge and experience to find my true dream. I will work hard to discover my passion at this school and learn as much as I can. Even if I make mistakes or struggle, I believe that in the end, I will succeed, and I will continue moving forward.

A Person Like Spring
Winter fades, and warm spring arrives.
Silent and cold days pass, and spring comes.
The snow in my frozen heart melts,
cherry blossoms bloom.
Spring is here.
With warm hands, that person enters my heart.
Spring comes to me.
Spring finds me.
In their expressions and actions, I feel spring.
That person is my spring.
That person is my spring,
coming to me.
Every day is spring,
as spring finds me.
