Edwin van der Sar 8
Despite his Moscow heroics, he is not quite in the same class as Schmeichel but has hardly put a foot wrong since arriving at Old Trafford three years ago. Described by Ferguson as the best goalkeeper to play for the club since Schemichel.
Wes Brown 7
Was on the bench at the Nou Camp in 1999 but has been an integral member of the side this season. Finally living up to the promise that prompted Ferguson to mark him out as the most talented defender at the club in 2000.
Rio Ferdinand 8
Making headlines for the right reasons this season and developing into the best defender in the world. Strong, quick and skilful and leading the race to be the next permanent England captain.
Nemanja Vidic 8
Tough Serbian defender who defends his territory like Leonid Brezhnev. Loves tackling and sniffing out danger and doesn’t collapse when he’s slapped.
Patrice Evra 8
Becoming one of the best left backs in the world after a shaky start at Old Trafford. A devastatingly quick and tenacious tackler. Asked team-mates where the nearest church was when he arrived in Manchester in 2006. “I want to thank God for all he has done for me,” he said.
Owen Hargreaves 7
Slow but solid start to Old Trafford career since his £17 million move from Bayern Munich last summer but scored a crucial goal in the 2-1 victory over Arsenal in April and made no mistake from the spot in Moscow.
Paul Scholes 8
Quiet, unassuming and a pass master. Described by Sir Bobby Charlton as his favourite United player of all time. Suspended for the 1999 final.
Michael Carrick 7
The armchair generals were queuing up to have a pop at Fergsuon for paying up to £18.6 million for the Geordie midfield player but who’s laughing now? May be unspectacular but rarely gives the ball away and keeps the United midfield ticking over.
Cristiano Ronaldo 10
The best player in the world.
Wayne Rooney 8
The best English player in the world – on his day.
Carlos Tevez 7
Missed two sitters in Moscow but his first season at Old Trafford has been an unqualified success. Tough, streetwise attacker who is adored at Upton Park, loved at Old Trafford and despised in Fulham Broadway.
Ryan Giggs 7
Old Trafford legend who broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s United appearance record in Moscow. Struggled to hold down a place in the starting XI this year but scored a crucial goal against Wigan Athletic in the last league match of the season.
Nani 7
Portuguese boy wonder who has nearly as many tricks in his box as Ronaldo. Being groomed by Fergsuon to replace Giggs.
Anderson 7
Destined to replace Scholes in midfield over the next few seasons and made an impact in his first year at Old Trafford by giving as good as he got against Steven Gerrard and Cesc Fabregas.

EDWIN VAN DER SAR
THE oldest player in the squad at 37, the keeper showed all that experience in keeping 22 clean sheets this season.
A Champions League winner’s medal 13 years after he won one with Ajax would be fitting for the Dutchman. 8
WES BROWN
COVERED superbly at right-back in the absence of Gary Neville.
And showed adaptability when moved to centre-half for Euro semis against Barcelona. He was outstanding in both legs. 7
RIO FERDINAND
HIS best season yet at United. Is there a better centre-back in the world right now?
Grown in stature with the fans and looks every inch a future captain. 9
NEMANJA VIDIC
THE Serb international has established a great centre-back pairing with Ferdinand that is easily a match for the legendary partnership of Steve Bruce and Gary Pallister.
Strong in the air and intelligent on the ground, he has been a real find by boss Alex Ferguson. 8
PATRICE EVRA
BUT for the incredible form of Ronaldo, this man could have been a contender for United’s Player of the Season.
Ferguson always bemoaned the loss of the great Denis Irwin. Well, he has found an ideal replacement and then some. 8
NANI
GREAT first half to the season as he proved he is the heir to Ryan Giggs’ berth on the left.
Blotted his copybook with a stupid red card in final home game against West Ham last week. 6
MICHAEL CARRICK
AFTER a slow start, Carrick really came into his own when Scholes got injured mid- season. He became his own man and stayed that way even when Scholes returned to the side. 7
PAUL SCHOLES
SOME began to question whether his best days were behind him — but then came that swing of the boot against Barcelona. Sits deeper than in his heyday but uses the ball intelligently, creating space for himself and others. 7
PARK JI SUNG
NOT the most artistic on the ball but what he lacks in flair he makes up for in effort. Covers every inch of the grass for the cause and has become a cult hero among the faithful for that. 6
JOHN O'SHEA
FERGIE went on all season about how the depth of his squad would serve United well.
O’Shea slotting into the back four without the side missing a beat was a prime example of that. 6
ANDERSON
YOU always know you have made a mark at Old Trafford when the fans make a song up about you even if it is to the tune of Agadoo.
Will be a really big player of the future in the mould of Patrick Vieira. 7
OWEN HARGREAVES
INJURY punctuated the England star’s season but proved his worth when he had to fill in at right-back.
His experience from days at Bayern Munich served United well and he can’t half hit a free-kick. 7
CRISTIANO RONALDO
QUITE simply the best player in the world at the moment.
That he has plundered 41 goals this season is incredible given that he spends 90 per cent of his time on the wing.
He is brave as a lion and has been a joy to watch.
Nobody could possibly argue that he did not deserve his second successive Footballer of the Year and PFA Player of the Year accolades. 10
RYAN GIGGS
CAME in for stick at times this season but remains an important part of the squad.
Few 30-somethings can run with the ball the way Giggs does. Will make history in Moscow as the club’s record appearance holder. 7
CARLOS TEVEZ
ALEX FERGUSON calls him the Terrier and you can see why.
He snaps around defences all game with his darting runs. He has also proved a big impact player from the bench. Has a knack of grabbing important goals — not least the leveller in the closing minutes at Blackburn. 8
WAYNE ROONEY
ENGLAND’S most cultured footballer since Gazza.
Has established a near-telepathic link with Ronaldo. His workrate is also an example to all young players. Only downside was he started to miss chances in the second half of the season. 8

이 평점 맞긴 맞는거임 ? ㅡㅡ
후반 보면 호날두 10점 못줄텐데. 전반전도 그닥 10점 줄만한 활약은 없었고 -_-;
THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD
