참부모경 - 507. 시리아 이슬람교 지도자 40일수련과 평화대행진

1990년 8월 16일 미국 샌프란시스코에서 열린 제2차 세계종교의회에서 참부모님께서는 세계 종교의 내적 결속을 위한 연합교육을 제언하셨다. 그 일환으로 1990년 12월 2일부터 1991년 1월 10일까지 미국 뉴욕의 뉴요커 빌딩에서 시리아의 이슬람교 지도자 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 40일수련이 개최되었다. 참부모님께서는 이들에게 유대교와 기독교, 이슬람교 간의 오랜 앙금을 풀고 중동지역 평화를 실현하는 데 앞장서 줄 것을 당부하셨다. 그리고 참부모님의 뜻에 따라 세계 종교지도자 등 2만여 명이 이스라엘과 팔레스타인 지역의 평화 안착을 기원하기 위해 2003년 12월 22일 예루살렘에 모여 역사적인 평화대행진을 펼쳤다. 참부모님께서는 하루 전날인 21일 평화대행진을 위해 정성을 모으는 가운데 제1, 제2, 제3, 제4 이스라엘이 하나의 승리권에서 통일·정착되었음을 선포하는 ‘일체통일식’을 거행하셨다.
 
1 1954년 통일교회가 시작되기 전부터 나는 공산주의가 73년 이상을 못 간다고 가르쳐 나왔습니다. 공산주의가 문제가 아닙니다. 공산주의가 끝난 다음에는 이슬람교를 포함한 종교권이 문제가 된다는 것입니다. 유대교와 기독교의 싸움을 누가 말리느냐 하는 문제에 대해서 벌써 50년 전부터 말했습니다. 이것을 방어할 수 있는 준비를 그때부터 시작한 것입니다. 성경에 ‘화평케 하는 자는 하나님의 아들이다.’라고 했습니다. 인류역사 이래 이와 같은 종교권·나라권·민족권을 총망라해서 핍박을 받으면서도 이들을 화해시키려고 노력하고 일생을 바쳐 싸운 사람은 나 한 사람밖에 없습니다. 그러나 나는 혼자가 아닙니다. 지금까지 하나님과 같이 종교계 일치운동을 위해서 그 기초를 놓아 왔습니다. 그래서 종교통일의 결실을 가져온 챔피언이 된 것입니다. 이것은 관념이 아닙니다. 이것은 훈련 과정이 아니라 실제입니다. 역사적 사건입니다.


2 미국 샌프란시스코에서 개최된 제2차 세계종교의회에서 우리가 연합적인 교육을 하기로 하였습니다. 내적 결속을 다짐해야 된다는 취지에서 그런 것입니다. 그것을 내가 주동했습니다. 그렇게 하기 위한 것을 모든 종단 대표들이 손을 들어서 결의하였습니다. 그렇게 결의했으면 행동해야 됩니다. 그 첫 사례가 시리아의 이슬람권 대표를 교육하는 것입니다. 1990년 12월 2일부터 뉴욕에서 40일수련을 받고 있습니다. 이것은 이슬람교의 1500년 역사를 두고 볼 때 엄청난 사건입니다. 이슬람권 국가를 대표할 수 있는 중진 지도자들이 세계가 반대하는 통일교회에 와서 교육을 받고 있다는 것입니다. 그들이 나를 대해서 ‘파더 문’이라고 합니다. 나는 그렇게 가르쳐 주지 않았는데 파더 문이라고 합니다. 통일교회 교인들보다 낫습니다. 교육을 받으러 온 그들에게 ‘여러분이 교육받는데 교리적인 것이 문제가 되지 않는다. 뜻이 문제이니 여러분이 만약 통일교회 교리를 듣고 거기에 교화를 받아 내 제자가 되더라도 환영한다.’고 말했습니다.
 
3 내가 역사를 잘 아는 사람입니다. 사라센제국과 기독교가 십자군전쟁 때부터 서로 원수입니다. 이것을 수습해야 됩니다. 왜 시리아의 이슬람교 지도자 통일원리수련을 했겠습니까? 이러지 않고는 세계가 멸망한다는 것입니다. 지금 이라크가 문제인데, 이라크를 중심삼고 이슬람교가 하나되어 기독교와 싸우게 되면 세계 전쟁이 되는 것입니다. 국경전쟁 다음에는 종교전쟁이 온다고 보는 것입니다. 이것을 어떻게 방지하느냐 하는 것이 필생의 사명을 알고 있습니다. 이라크 문제를 중심삼고 ‘기독교는 우리의 원수다. 이제부터 12세기의 십자군전쟁에서 당한 것을 복수하기 위해 나아가자.’고 한다면 이슬람권이 하나가 되는 것입니다. 이러한 세계의 정상이 교차되어 위험수위에까지 차오르는 이때 우리가 이러한 교육을 하고 있습니다. 평화를 정착시키는 데 있어서 이렇게 위대한 일이 밑바닥에 깔려 있다는 것입니다.
 
4 기독교의 중심이 이스라엘이 아니라 미국이기 때문에 미국을 중심삼고 지금까지 33년을 활동해 왔습니다. 이제 34년째에 들어갑니다. 예수님이 33세 34세부터 40세까지 왕권을 중심삼고 세계를 지배해야 했던 것과 같은 막대한 대변환시기를 마련해야 됩니다. 이렇듯 섭리의 때가 어떻다는 것을 알기 때문에 거기에 맞게끔 모든 처리를 다 해놓고 지금 평화유엔을 중심삼고 활동하는 것입니다. 이슬람교나 기독교나 유대교가 전부 아브라함의 후손인데 예수님 한 분을 죽임으로써 고장이 났습니다. 원래 예수님은 이스라엘 나라의 왕이 되어야 했는데 그러지 못하고 죽음으로써 영육의 두 세계로 갈라지게 되었습니다. 이렇게 됨으로써 예수님이 재림해서 지상에서 육적 세계의 평화왕권을 세워야 할 뜻이 남아 있기 때문에 오시는 재림주가 구름을 타고 와서는 아무것도 안 되는 것입니다. 그래서 예수님이 실패한 내용, 미성사한 모든 것을 재차 수습해서 찾아 탕감해야 됩니다. 탕감복귀입니다. 한을 풀어 주어야 됩니다. 그래서 2003년 12월 22일에 가자지방, 이스라엘을 중심삼고 평화대행진을 했는데 그때 통일교인 3천 명이 동서남북으로 들어간 것입니다. 제일 모임을 갖기 어려운 연말에 사방에서 3천 명이 들어가서 대회를 할 수 있었다는 사실은 놀라운 것입니다.
 
5 하나님과 아담의 나라가 종횡으로 하나되어 정착할 수 있는 기반을 제3이스라엘에까지 만들려다가 실패했습니다. 그렇기 때문에 제1 이스라엘의 자리, 그다음에 제2 이스라엘 미국의 자리, 제3 이스라엘 한국의 자리를 정착시키기 위해서는 남북통일을 해야 됩니다. 이렇게 되면 분쟁지역은 자동적으로 평화의 지구로 전환되지 않을 수 없는 것입니다. 이것이 결론이기 때문에 가자지방에서 유대교와 기독교, 이슬람교 사람들을 모아 놓고 평화대행진을 한 것입니다. 유대교 기독교 이슬람교가 나와 무슨 관계가 있습니까? 그러나 뜻적인 면으로 볼 때에는 한 핏줄로 연결된 조상의 책임이 있다는 것입니다. 아담 해와와 예수님을 중심삼고 천국에 들어갈 수 있는 패권적 주권을 세우지 못한 것을 탕감하기 위해서 이 일을 하고 있다는 것입니다. 그리고 제2차 세계대전 때에 아벨 자리에 있는 미국과 천사장 자리에 있는 프랑스가 하나되어 일본과 독일, 이탈리아의 사탄 편에 대해 승리하고 굴복시켜 그 위에 한국을 중심삼고 평화의 왕국을 정착시켜야 했습니다. 그런데 그것을 하지 못한 것과 더불어 역사시대에 하나님이 사탄과 싸워서 이기지 못했던 전부를 탕감복귀하여 승리의 패권시대를 맞이해 평화의 왕인 예수님이 실패했지만 가자지방의 평화대행진을 통해 실체적으로 지상에서 재림주가 제1, 제2, 제3 이스라엘 기반을 연결시킴으로 말미암아 비로소 참부모의 자리에 서게 된 것입니다.

真の父母経 - 507. シリアのイスラーム指導者四十日修練と平和大行進

一九九〇年八月十六日、アメリカのサンフランシスコで開かれた第二回「世界宗教議 会」において、真の父母様は、世界の宗教の内的結束のため、連合教育を提案された。その一環として、一九九〇年十二月二日から九一年一月十日まで、アメリ カ、ニュークのニューヨーカービルにおいて、シリアのイスラーム指導者四十数人が参加する中、四十日修練が開催された。真の父母様は、ユダヤ教とキリスト 教、イスラーム間の長きにわたるわだかまりを解き、中東地域における平和実現の先頭に立つことを彼らに願われた。そして、真の父母様のみ意に従い、世界の 宗教指導者など二万人以上が、イスラエルとパレスチナ地域の平和安着を祈願するため、二〇〇三年十二月二十二日、エルサレムに集まり、歴史的な平和大行進 を行った。真の父母様は、前日の二十一日、平和大行進のために精誠を尽くされる中で、第一、第二、第三イスラエルが一つの勝利圏において統一定着したこと を宣布する「一体統一式」を挙行された。

1 一九五四年に統一教会が出発する前から、私は、共産主義が七十三年以上はもたないと教えてきました。共産主義が問題ではありません。共産主義が終わったあ とは、イスラームを含む宗教圏が問題になるというのです。ユダヤ教とキリスト教の争いを誰が止めるのかという問題について、既に五十年前から話してきまし た。これを防ぐための準備を、その時から始めたのです。

聖書に「平和をつくり出す人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは神の子と呼ばれるであろう」(マタイ五・九)とあります。人類歴史が始まって以来、この ような宗教圏、国家圏、民族圏をすべて網羅して、迫害を受けてもこれらを和解させようと努力し、一生を捧げて闘った人は、私一人しかいません。

しかし、私は一人ではありません。今まで神様と共に、宗教界一致運動のためにその基礎を築いてきました。そうして、宗教統一の結実をもたらしたチャンピオンになったのです。これは観念ではありません。これは訓練課程ではなく現実です。歴史的事件なのです。

2 アメリカのサンフランシスコで開催された第二回「世界宗教議会」において、私たちが連合して教育をすることにしました。内的結束を固めなければならないと いう趣旨で、そのようにしたのです。それを私が中心となって行いました。そのようにするための内容を、あらゆる教団の代表たちが手を挙げて決意しました。 そのように決意したならば、行動しなければなりません。

その最初の事例が、シリアのイスラーム圏の代表を教育することです。一九九〇年十二月二日から、ニューヨークで四十日修練を受けています。これは、 イスラームの約千五百年の歴史を中心として見るとき、途方もない事件です。イスラーム圏の国家を代表する重鎮指導者たちが、世界が反対する統一教会に来て 教育を受けているというのです。彼らは私に向かって、「ファーザー・ムーン」と言います。私はそのように教えてはいないのですが、「ファーザー・ムーン」 と言うのです。統一教会員たちよりも優秀です。教育を受けるために来た彼らに、「皆さんが教育を受けるに当たって教理的なことは問題ではない。み旨が問題 なので、皆さんがもし統一教会の教えを聞いて感化され、私の弟子になるとしても、歓迎する」と言いました。

3 私は、歴史をよく知っている人です。イスラム帝国とキリスト教は、十字軍戦争の時から互いに怨讐です。これを収拾しなければなりません。なぜシリアのイス ラーム指導者の統一原理修練をしたのでしょうか。このようにしなければ、世界が滅亡するというのです。

今、イラクが問題ですが、イラクを中心としてイスラームが一つになってキリスト教と戦えば、世界戦争になります。国境戦争の次は、宗教戦争が来ると考えるのです。これをいかに防止するかが、生涯の使命だと考えています。

イラク問題を中心として、「キリスト教は私たちの怨讐だ。今から、十二世紀の十字軍戦争でやられたことを復讐するために出ていこう」と言えば、イス ラーム圏が一つになるのです。世界の頂上が交差し、危険水位にまで至るこの時、私たちはこのような教育をしています。平和を定着させるに当たって、このよ うに偉大なことが底辺に敷かれているというのです。

4 キリスト教の中心が、イスラエルではなくアメリカなので、アメリカを中心として、今まで三十三年間活動してきました。今や三十四年目に入ります。イエス様 が三十三歳、三十四歳から四十歳まで、王権を中心として世界を支配すべきだったのと同じような、この上ない大変換期に備えなければなりません。このよう に、摂理の時がどのようになっているかを知っているので、そこに合うようにすべての処理を終わらせておいて、今、平和国連を中心として活動しているので す。イスラームやユダヤ・キリスト教は、すべてアブラハムの子孫ですが、イエス様お一人の命を奪うことによって支障が生じたのです。

本来、イエス様は、イスラエルの国の王にならなければならなかったのですが、それができずに死ぬことにより、霊肉の二つの世界に分かれるようになり ました。このようになることによって、イエス様が再臨して、地上で肉的世界の平和の王権を立てるべきみ旨が残っているので、来られる再臨主が雲に乗って来 ては、何にもならないのです。ですから、イエス様が失敗した内容、成就していないすべてのことを再び収拾して探し出し、蕩減しなければなりません。蕩減復 帰です。恨を解いてあげなければなりません。それで、二〇〇三年十二月二十二日に、ガザ地区とイスラエルを中心として、平和大行進を行ったのですが、その 時、統一教会員三千人が東西南北から入っていったのです。集会をもつのが最も難しい年末に、四方から三千人が入っていって大会をすることができたという事 実は、驚くべきことです。

5 神様とアダムの国が縦横に一つになって定着できる基盤を、第三イスラエルにまでつくろうとして失敗しました。ですから、第一イスラエルの立場、その次に第 二イスラエルであるアメリカの立場、第三イスラエルである韓国の立場を定着させるためには、南北統一をしなければなりません。このようになれば、紛争地域 は自動的に平和の地区に転換されざるを得ないのです。これが結論なので、ガザ地区でユダヤ教とキリスト教、イスラームの人々を集めておいて、平和大行進を したのです。
ユダヤ教、キリスト教、イスラームが私と何の関係があるでしょうか。しかし、み旨から見るときは、一つの血統で連結された先祖の責任があるというの です。アダム、エバとイエス様を中心として天国に入っていける覇権的主権を立てられなかったことを蕩減するために、このことをしているというのです。

また、第二次世界大戦の時、アベルの位置にいるアメリカと天使長の位置にいるフランスが一つになり、日本とドイツ、イタリアのサタン側に対して勝利 して屈服させ、その上で韓国を中心として、平和の王国を定着させなければなりませんでした。ところが、それができず、歴史時代において、神様がサタンと 闘って勝つことができなかったのです。そのすべてを蕩減復帰して、勝利の覇権時代を迎え、平和の王であるイエス様は失敗しましたが、ガザ地区での平和大行 進を通して、実体的に地上で第一、第二、第三イスラエルの基盤を連結させることにより、再臨主が初めて真の父母の位置に立つようになったのです。

Chambumo Gyeong - 507. The forty-day workshop for Muslims

At the Second Assembly of the Worlds Religions that opened in San Francisco on August 16, 1990, True Parents proposed the establishment of the Interreligious Leadership Seminars as an education project that would internally bind together the worlds faiths. Connected to that, the following year a 40-day workshop was held for 40 Muslim leaders from Syria at the New Yorker Hotel in New York City from December 2, 1991 until January 10, 1992. True Parents implored the attending leaders to strive to resolve the long-standing impediments among Judaism, Christianity and Islam and take the lead in realizing peace in the Middle East.

The Middle East Peace Initiative (MEPI) brought thousands of Christian ministers and faith leaders from the United States to the Middle East. They began as efforts for interfaith reconciliation between Christians and Jews, and developed into efforts to reconcile Jews and Palestinians, including peace marches in Jerusalem proclaiming peace among the Abrahamic faiths.

On December 22, 2003, in accordance with True Parents' guidance, thousands of people, including religious leaders from around the world, gathered and held historic events for peace in Israel and Palestine. This laid the foundation for True Parents to later conduct the Ceremony for Total Unity, which created a victorious realm in which the First, Second, Third and Fourth Israels can be united.


1 Before creating the Unification Church in 1954,1 taught that communism could not last more than 73 years. Communist expansionism is no longer an issue. Now we have to shift our focus to the issue of religious conflicts. For 50 years I have talked about who is going to stop the fighting between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. My preparations for resolving this conflict began five decades ago. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Since the beginning of history, there has been only one person who tried to reconcile religions and who devoted himself to this work despite persecution from individuals, families, religions and nations. 1 have been laying the foundation to unite the religious world. This is not just a theory or classroom exercise. It is happening in the real world, in history. (225-019, 1992/01/01)

2 In an announcement at the second Assembly of the World's Religions in San Francisco, the participants agreed to cooperate in uniting their educational efforts. This was to be for the purpose of developing internal unity, and I stepped up to take the lead. All present, by raising their hands, pledged to participate. As we have pledged, so must we carry it out.

The first phase was education of Muslims from Syria. They are now receiving training in New York City at a 40-day workshop that began December 2. In the 1,500-year history of Islam, this is unprecedented. Middle East leaders representing Muslim countries are connecting for educational purposes with the Unification Church, which the world has opposed. The participants call me "Father Moon." I did not suggest this; they came up with it on their own.

These Muslim leaders are better than the members of the Unification Church. I told those who are attending the workshop, "Now that you have received this education, you know that doctrine is not an issue. The Will is the issue, so if you have found illumination in the Unification teachings and want to become my student, you are welcome." (210-206, 1990/12/23)

3 I am a person who knows history very well. Islam and Christianity have been enemies since the Crusades. Now, however, it is time to resolve this. Why did Syrian Muslim leaders receive education in the Unification Principle? If they had not received it, the world as we know it would have come to an end. Now Iraq has invaded Kuwait, and if Muslims centering on Iraq join together to fight Christians, it will lead to a world war, a religious war. My life mission has been dedicated to preventing this. Goaded by the Iraq issue, if Muslims say, "Christianity is our enemy. Let us avenge what we have suffered from the 12th-century Crusades until today," the Muslim world will unite and fight. The Syrian Muslim leaders are receiving Principle education at this time just when explosive world circumstances are intersecting dangerously. This education will inspire great work encouraging peace to take root. (210-129, 1990/12/17)

4 The center of Christianity is not Israel but the United States. Thus for 33 years I have been carrying out activities focusing on America. We are now entering the 34th year. We should prepare for a moment of massive transformation, the same as the moment when the 33-year-old Jesus should have come to rule the world as a royal personage from his 34th to 40th years.

We understand the significance of this time in the providence, so we are working based on the Peace UN. Islam, Christianity and Judaism descended from one man, Abraham, and tragedy emerged from the death of one man, Jesus. The original plan was that Jesus become the king of Israel, but he could not achieve this because he was killed. As a result the worlds of spirit and flesh separated. Gods Will to build a global, peaceful royal power in the flesh on earth still awaits fulfillment when Jesus returns. Clearly nothing can be accomplished on earth if the Lord returns on the clouds.

We have to know all about this, and we need to pay indemnity and resolve all the failures surrounding the time of Jesus. We resolve bitter pain by restoration through indemnity. To advance this task, 3,000 people from the Unification Church came to Israel from the north, south, east and west. Their outreach work brought many people to the peace march for Gaza and Israel on December 22,2003. It was a remarkable event to attend. It was difficult to secure 3,000 plane tickets for our members at the end of the year. It was miraculous. It is hard to move even three people at that time of year, but 3,000 came. 5 The establishment of the foundation of the Third Israel, where God and Adam's nation become one and settle horizontally and vertically, has failed. Therefore, we must unite North and South Korea in order to establish the combined positions of the First Israel, the Second Israel, America, and the Third Israel, Korea. If we succeed, the arena of conflict will naturally transform into a foundation for peace.

Since I know that this will be the result, I called for a peace conference in Gaza and gathered people from Judaism, Christianity and Islam. What relationship do Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have with me? From the perspective of Gods Will I am an ancestor who is joined with them in one bloodline, and I have a responsibility for them. I am doing this reconciliation work to indemnify failures related to Adam, Eve and Jesus, and to establish the condition for people to enter the sovereignty of the kingdom of heaven.

After the Second World War, if we cast the United States, Great Britain and France as one family, Great Britain was Eve, the US was Abel, and France was the restored archangel, all of whom defeated the side of Satan, represented by Japan, Germany and Italy. Based on this, they should have established the kingdom of peace centering on Korea. They failed in this, but we have restored their failure by paying indemnity and have redeemed God's lack of success in fighting with Satan in ^hat historical age, setting up a new era of victorious dominion.

Jesus should have become the King of Peace in Gaza, yet could not accomplish that. Since that time, no one could build the foundation of the First, Second and Third Israels. By building and connecting these foundations for the first time, the Lord at the Second Advent comes to stand in the position of True Parents. (429-016, 2003/12/23)
