전쟁을 결정하는 건, 정치인들입니다.

그러나 숱한 장정들이 정치인들이 결정한 바로 그 전쟁터에서 정의와 평화를 위해 싸우다

죽어갔습니다.

1990.

미국이 걸프전을 일으켰을 때도 그랬습니다.

자신의 남편을, 아빠를, 아들을, 동생을, 오빠를 걸프만으로 떠나보내는

남겨진 가족들의 간절한 염원과 기도는

그래서 늘상 눈물겹습니다.

VOICES THAT CARE.

사랑한다고, 기도하고 있다고, 제발 무사하게만 돌아와 달라는

사랑하는 가족들의 소망이 진하게 배어있는 음악입니다.

그런 마음을 담아 데이비드 포스터가 작곡했고, 그의 아내가 작사했지요.

1991년,

참전용사들과 적십자 활동을 돕기위해 당대 최고의 뮤지션들이 뭉쳤습니다.

루더 밴드로스, 셀린 디옹, 바비 브라운, 윌 스미스, 케니 지, 가스 브룩스,

마이클 볼튼, 랄프 트레스반트 등, 이름만 들어도 이 프로젝트가 얼마나 의미있고

위대한 것이었는지 금세 알 수 있습니다.
