(5) 미래 부처님의 방편과 진실

99.未來世諸佛이 雖說百千億

無數諸法門이나 其實爲一乘이니라

오는 세상의 모든 부처님들이 비록 백 천 억의

무수한 법문을 설하더라도 그 진실은 오직 일불승을 위한 것뿐이니라.

The Buddhas of future ages,

although they preach hundreds, thousands, millions

a countless number of doctrines,

in truth do so for the sake of the single vehicle. <Translated by Burton Watson>

of future ages: 오는 세상의  although : 비록  

they preach : 법문을 설하다   hundreds, thousands, millions: 백 천 억

a countless number of doctrines, in truth : 무수한 그 진실은

for the sake of : 위한 것 the single vehicle.: 일불승

And although the Buddhas of the future

Will speak a hundred thousand million,

Countless Dharma doors,

They are, in fact, for the sake of the Vehicle,

99.未(み)來(らい)世(せ)諸(しょ)佛(ぶつ)이  雖(すい)說(せつ)百(ひゃく)千(せん)億(のく)

無(む)數(しゅ)諸(しょ)法(ほう)門(もん)이나 其(ご)實(じッ)爲(ち)一(いち)乘(じょう)이니라

100.諸佛兩足尊이 知法常無性이언만은

佛種從緣起일새 是故說一乘하시나니

是法住法位하며 世間相常住하니

於道場知已하고 導師方便說이니라

부처님 양족존(兩足尊)께서 법은 항상 일정한 성품이 없음을 알지만

부처님의 종자는 인연으로부터 생기므로 일불승을 설하느니라.

이 법이 법의 자리에 머물러서 세간의 모양이 항상 있음을

보리도량에서 이미 알았지마는 도사께서 방편으로 설할 뿐이니라.

The Buddhas, most honored of two-legged beings,

know that phenomena have no constantly fixed nature,

that the seed of Buddhahood sprout through causation,

and for this reason they preach the single vehicle.

But that these phenomena are part of an abiding Law,

that the characteristics of the world are constantly abiding--

this they have come to know in the place of practice

and as leaders and teachers they preach expedient means. <Translated by Burton Watson>

most honored of two-legged beings: 양족존(兩足尊, Doubly Perfect Honored Ones)

phenomena : 법 have no constantly fixed nature,: 항상 일정한 성품이 없음

the seed of Buddhahood: 부처님의 종자

sprout through ~으로부터 생기므로  causation: 인연

preach the single vehicle: 일불승을 설하느니라

.these phenomena : 이 법 are part of an abiding Law: 법의 자리에 머물러서

the characteristics of the world : 세간의 모양  constantly abiding: 항상 있음

they have come to know : 이미 알았지마는

in the place of practice: 보리도량에서(in the Bodhimanda)

as leaders and teachers : 도사께서(The Guiding Master)

preach expedient means: 방편으로 설할 뿐이니라

All Buddhas, Doubly Perfect Honored Ones,

Know the Dharmas are eternally without a nature.

The Buddha seed arises from conditions;

Thus they speak of the One Vehicle.

This Dharma abides in the Dharma's position,

Dwelling forever in worldly marks.

Having understood this in the Bodhimanda,

The Guiding Master teaches it expediently.
