Heirs as Seen in the New Testament

(Gal 4:1-7) What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. * He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. * So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. * But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, * to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. * Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."

* So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

God created Adam from the dust and gave him breath, and Adam became a living being. According to the prophecy of Is 7:14, as seen in Lk 1, God gave His seed to the virgin for Jesus to be born; hence, he was the Son of God. In 1Cor 15:21-22, Paul said, “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”

According to God’s prophecies of the Old Testament (Jer 31:27), as seen in the words recorded in Mt 13:24-30, 37-39, two kinds of seed were sown, God’s seed and the devil’s seed. Among the two kinds of seed, one was the sons of God and the other was the sons of the devil. That is why God’s sons were harvested and the sons of the devil were left remaining in that field. Even after seeing this truth, can you say you don’t know about yourself? Who among these two entities will become God’s heirs? Speak. Can you deny this truth and say you didn’t know about it?

God’s will started from the Old Testament. There are three things of the Old Testament that Jesus fulfilled: the sowing of the two kinds of seed, the making of the new covenant, and the shedding of his blood by bearing the cross. These three things were works for the ‘creation of a new thing’ in Jer 31:22 of the Old Testament. And this was eventually for the work of the ‘creation of a new heaven and new earth’ at the time of the fulfillment of Revelation. Therefore, this work of creation began in the Old Testament, went through Jesus’ first coming, and is completed at the second coming.

Although God showed grace through works such as creating Adam out of the dust and choosing people to become His chosen people, they eventually betrayed God. However, Jesus, who was born of God’s seed, was obedient even in death and fulfilled all of his filial duty and loyalty. This is the difference between those not born of God’s seed and those born of God’s seed.

As I said in the beginning, God allowed two kinds of seed to be sown in one field, the seed of God and the seed of the devil, and He separated them at the time of harvest, which is the end of the age. One will go to heaven and the other will end by the fires of hell. And a new kingdom and new people are re-created with the family born of God’s seed.

As those who have been born of Jesus’ blood and God’s seed, the re-created 12 tribes are the sons who receive the heavens and the earth and all its creation as an inheritance. The inheritance is not given to gentiles or strangers. It is only natural that the inheritance is given to His sons. As those who will receive God’s inheritance, there is no one who would desire to possess private lands or power. Our true hope and purpose are to become God’s beloved children, and as His children, enter the Father’s kingdom of heaven and live with Him forever. As sons who will receive His inheritance, it is our responsibility to fulfill our filial duties to the Father.

There is a saying that the king, the teacher, and the father are one (군사부일체, 君師父一體); and there is also a saying that there is a parent in heaven. In Jn 3, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” He also said, “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” Paul said in Gal 4:19, “My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.” And Paul also said, “The son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now” (Gal 4:29).

Just as the Jerusalem pastors of that time didn’t know about the Old Testament prophecies, the promised pastor, Jesus, and God and persecuted, it is the same today. It was said in Gal 4:1-7, “As long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave and is subject to guardians and trustees. But because you are sons, when the time had fully come, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’ So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.” Just as God gave all creation to Adam as an inheritance, it is the same today. Those who truly believe in God will not desire personal riches of the world. They are those who love receiving the inheritance of all of God’s creation. They are those who know what is great and small. Can you put this into action?

What we desire are not worldly materials that will disappear; are they not God, Jesus, angels, heaven, and eternal life?

I have experienced death twice. After my death, my spirit went around and I saw my own self and I saw the world and its creation. The world and I were no different than now, and I came back to life simultaneously with the thought I just had of not wanting to die. One other experience I had, I still don’t know if it was a vision or a dream. Some woman and I, the two of us, went to various places in this world. We also went to one place, and that region was a place where I used to play when I was a child. Many waters came streaming down to that large field. I never took my clothes off, yet, the woman and I were naked. As I was looking around wondering where this large amount of water was coming from, I saw there were houses about three-stories high near the water’s edge and there were mountains that I knew. There were peculiar rocks, one here and another there inside the flowing waters. The two of us didn’t get swept away by the waters. The waters, houses, and mountains were indescribably beautiful. Her face as well as my face were beautiful. This was not a dream nor a vision. I still think about the things I have seen. I flew in dreams and I have been to nice and beautiful places, but the things I have seen mentioned above are still vivid in my memory. Why did such things … .

In the days of my youth, through the guidance of the star, I promised with blood to be devoted to God. Many miracles happened that day, but they were things that happened on this earth. That day, I invited a pastor over at night and requested to have worship service at my house. Afterward, I started going to church.

I toured the countries of the world for the peace work of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL). In a few places, people saw a great star remain with me above my head and took commemorative pictures. Before departing for a tour abroad to various countries, I pleaded with God and Jesus and I wrote down my prayers and posted them on the wall. I came to know that these odd experiences I had were God showing me that He was answering my requests.

The work we of Shincheonji are doing is not the work of the ordinary generations. You must know how significant this work is as it is God’s final work. It is the work that ends the former world for the first time in 6,000 years, creates the latter world, and has God and heaven come down to become one. It is the crucial work of capturing the dragon on this earth and bringing him to an end. It is the era of heaven where God reigns.

The family of Shincheonji are the new kingdom and new people made of God’s seed, and we are God’s family. We must overcome and overcome again. We know that heaven and hell are before our eyes.
