야고보서 4:13-16

13. "들으라 너희 중에 말하기를 오늘이나 내일이나 우리가 어떤 도시에 가서 거기서 일 년을 머물며 장사하여 이익을 보리라 하는 자들아 14. 내일 일을 너희가 알지 못하는도다 너희 생명이 무엇이냐 너희는 잠깐 보이다가 없어지는 안개니라 15. 너희가 도리어 말하기를 주의 뜻이면 우리가 살기도 하고 이것이나 저것을 하리라 할 것이거늘 16. 이제도 너희가 허탄한 자랑을 하니 그러한 자랑은 다 악한 것이라"

James 4:13-16

13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.

비록 춘래불사춘(春來不似春)이라 하지만 메마른 가지에 푸른 잎이 돋아나고 이름 모를 잡초에 새끼손가락 손톱만한 보라색 꽃들이 자기 얼굴 좀 봐달라고 얼굴을 내밉니다.

만물의 근원이신 하나님께 영광과 찬양을 올립니다.

Although some say, "Spring came but not yet here." green leaves sprout on dry branches, and pinky fingernail sized purple flowers on unknown wild grass shout aloud asking attention to their beautiful faces.

Glory and praise to God, the source of all things.

사역부지, 거주부지, 그리고 중장기 동역자 확보 문제

현지사정상 건축부지는 거의 포기상태지만 방과후학교 사역에 관한 기대감은 여전합니다.

대면의 경우에는 이에 관해 좀 더 자세한 내용을 나누지만 여기서는 생략하겠습니다.

Business Site, Home Site, and Mid/Long-Term Field Missionary Needed

I almost gave up these land contracts but my expectation of the After-School Program still remains strong.

I share more details about it when we meet face to face but sorry to stop here.

목회 사역

3월 다섯 번의 주일 중에 네 번을 Bitter Springs Baptist Church에서 예배드리며 마태복음 함께 읽기로 말씀을 나눴습니다.

마지막 주일은 제가 캘리포니아를 다녀온 관계로 당 교회에 출석하지 못했습니다. (월 1회 정기결석)

그리고 성경읽기를 돕기 위한 저의 작업도 계속되고 있는데 지금은 창세기 읽기 도우미를 작성하고 있습니다.

영어 본문에 약간의 생각을 영어로 더하는 비교적 단순한 작업인데 강물에 빵을 던지는 마음으로, 혹은 밭에 씨앗을 뿌리는 마음으로 하다 보니 제가 배우고 즐기는 과제가 되었습니다.

PASTORAL MINISTRY

Four of the five weeks in March were held at the Bitter Springs Baptist Church, where we read together the Gospel of Matthew.

On the fifth Sunday, we missed the service due to our trip to California. (a Monthly regular absence.)

My work to help the local people to read the Bible through with some thoughts keep going on, now on the Book of Genesis.

It's a relatively simple task of adding some thoughts to the English text, but it's become my chance to learn, so enjoying myself.

I feel like that throwing bread in the river or sowing seeds in the field.

장마당사역: 무료 침치료 및 문서사역

요즘에는 별로 많지 않은 환자들이 찾아옵니다.

특히 오전에는 거의 없을 때도 있습니다.

아침에 텅 빈 시장을 바라보노라면 두세 시간 늦게 출장해도 되겠다는 생각도 들지만 현장에 나가는 것, 그리고 기다리는 것도 결국 사역의 일부가 아닐까 하여 예전처럼, 혹은 다른 부지런한 상인들처럼 마음을 가다듬고 있습니다.

몇 명이 됐든, 그들에게 하나님의 치유의 역사가 함께 하시기를 바랄 뿐입니다.

제 사역을 알게 된 한 네덜란드 한의 관계자가 취재를 요청해서 한 시간 이십여 분 대화를 나눴고 그 내용을 자신의 팟캐스트에 올렸더군요.

누가 들을지 알 수 없지만, 그래도 제다이 요다 만큼은 영어를 한다고 생각했는데... Zoom을 통해선지 그만도 못하긴 하지만 부끄럽진 않습니다.

MARKET MINISTRY with Free Acupuncture and Booklet Ministry

These days, not many patients come.

Especially in the morning there is non or few.

Looking at the not-yet-filled market, I think I can come out two or three hours later, but to be there and even waiting should be parts of my ministry, so I'm humbling myself as usual or as like other diligent merchants.

No matter how many there are, I just hope that God's healing power will be with those who come.

After learning about my ministry, a Dutch OM practitioner asked me to cover my story, so we have talked for about an hour and twenty minutes and he posted it on his podcast.

I thought I speak English as much as Jedi Yoda at least, but found out much worse than him. Maybe due to the zoom? but not shamed because my heart matters most.
