Discrimination means treating more than one target unfairly by making a difference without good reason. In our country,
The status of women has been gradually lowered because we thought men were superior since Confucianism came in. So people still suffer from gender discrimination in many places. Not only women, but men.
What are some of the remaining gender discrimination?
First , when selecting employees or
public officials, the quota system for women or gender equality is required to be applied, but when recruiting employees in many companies, the number of male and female recruits is different, the appearance or marriage that is irrelevant to the work, and the fact that more than half of working women are not permanent position shows that gender discrimination exists.
Second, for example, male police officers are just called police officers, but female police officers are called a police the woman. also many people who say that stroller should be called baby cars because it means that only for the mother to pull.
Third, you can find it in your profession. In jobs such as kindergarten teachers and secretaries are reluctant to be man,and people think that  hard work such as fluorescent  right replacement and delivery worker if a man's job
Fourth, men wear makeup a lot these days, but in fact, I saw on YouTube that a lot of people are looking at men's makeup with bad eyes. On the contrary, women are often discriminated against just because they don't wear makeup.
So in today's society, we are making a lot of efforts to eliminate gender discrimination. First , the gender equality system and the gender quota system were created so that men and women could not be discriminated against when they got a job. Secondly, women's participation in society has expanded. Thirdly, the hoju system was abolished. The hoju system is a system that sets the hoju at home and puts mother and children below.
In order to eliminate the remaining gender discrimination, I think we should first abandon the stereotype of gender roles. If everyone sees it with the same eyes, gender discrimination is likely to disappear one day. And I think we should actively implement education and system on gender equality. Also i think that both men and women are necessary and valuable people in our society. gender discrimination will never be resolved if you talk about women's positions and men's positions are argued separately. So we should be considerate and respectful of each other.
