지지위지지(知之爲知之) 부지위부지(不知爲不知) 시지야(是知也)

지지위지지 부지위부지知之爲知之不知爲不知 '아는 것을 안다고 하고 모르는 것을 모른다고 하는 것 子曰由誨女知之乎.  자왈 유 회여지지호.  공자가 말씀하셨다. 유(由)야! 너에게 안다는 것이 무엇인지 가르쳐주마.   知之爲知之 不知爲不知 是知也 지지위지지 부지위부지 시지야 그것을 알면 안다고 하고, 알지 못하면 알지 못한다고 하는 것, 이것이 아는 것이다!」 “To say you know what you know and to say you don't know what you do not know, that is true knowledge” 알때 안다고 말하고 모를때 모른다고 말하는 것이 진짜 아는 것이다 To say you know when you know and To say you don't know when you don't know is what you really know 공자께서 말씀하시었다: “유야! 내 너에게 안다는 것이 무엇인지 가르쳐 주겠다. 아는 것을 안다 하고, 모르는 것을 모른다 하는 것, 이것이 곧 아는 것이다.” The Master said: ‘Yu!
