wake up in nagasaki, its not cold for once coz theres a heater here
we're going to the 26 martyr memorial
26 martyrs are the people who toyotomi hideyoshi sentenced to death by marching them from kyoto to nagasaki and nailing them upon crosses
there were 2-3 kids aged 12-14
3 people were also actually koreans
memorial has a museum as well, museum contains a lot of artifacts (a bit like shimabara castle)
there was a missionary called Vincent who was a korean in japan, persecuted later but still, cool that i share the same name
we had a guide but there was too many people for me to actually see what he was talking about so couldnt really pay attention
next was a cathedral
first catholic cathedral in japan after the 250 yrs of persecution, after the ban on chritianity was broken
next is the nagasaki atom bomb museum
there were a lot of texts that were only in japanese and english so a lot of guys were asking me to translate for them
couldnt because there were so many scientific terms that i didnt know in korean
couldnt get to see everything because we short on time, next was lunch
lunch is in chinatown of nagasaki, with nagasaki champon on the menu
i had 짜장면 instead, it was weird because it was a bit chilly bit that was ok
we didnt get back in time, but then again, neither did anyone else
we started doing some legit missionary stuff like handing out our books
we were only told 2 phrases: "konnichiwa" and "onegaishimasu"
a lot of people rejected it, some asked "what is it?"
others just walked by without even looking at you
others said they didnt believe in that stuff
the most frustrating thing was the language barricade between us because when we did get someone's interest, we had trouble actually elaborating on what we were doing
but there were a few who did accept which was good
after we finish that, its back to Beppu
we have dinner then another meeting, this time as the senior highschool kids, not in our teams, share about our experiences throughout the day.
then we repeated the thing with THE ENTIRE MISSION TEAM
which put us wayy past midnight
i thought it was over but then we started a prayer session thing and then we started praying this, praying about that
everyone is really emotional and stuff from sharing their stuff and their praying
im very confused because im not used to the way koreans pray
they all pray their own stuff but they say it out loud and it gets really loud when u have 43 people in 1 room
i just sit there, trying to focus on praying but also comprehending how korean praying meetings work
eventually we finish up and go to bed,
fell asleep easily (it was past 1 by that point)

wake up, last day of japan, feeling kinda sad,the time here felt real quick
we all clean up, clean up after 43 people is tough, even if there are 43 people cleaning
short worship service before leaving for yufuin
yufuin is the number 1 destination in japan for female korean youth something, according to our missionary guide
its a cool place, got a lake, lots of shops
i didnt really see what was cool about this place
UNTIL IT STARTED SNOWING
it started snowing which was really cool (aha pun intended)
did a lot of wondering about myself
had like a bento kinda thing for lunch
more missionary work like in nagasaki, had better results this time though
you could see the mountain top from the station (which was all the way below) when the sky cleared and it looked really grand and majestic
i was supposed to buy stuff for my family here but forgot to take my money out of the bus and couldnt
to fukuoka from there
airport, nothing really happened, bought some stuff there
plane ride was uneventful but i didint sleep. the night view was just that good
i failed the calculate that we would be approaching korea from the south and so was surprised when i saw land (lights) after only like 30 mins since we reached the sea
get back, i have to line up in the foreign line, while everyone else is in the korean like
takes me 30 mins to get past
but it doesnt really matter because not all the bags had come out yet
there was some kind of problem but we got our bags eventually
some left straight from the airport, others caught the church bus back from the airport
didnt sleep on the bus either (this is like the opposite of when i was GOING to japan
get back to paju at like 11pm
tired so i quick wash and go to bed
fell asleep pretty quickly
THE END
