방에 지루하게 앉아서
비 내리는 일요일 오후를 보내고 있지

방안을 빙빙 돌면서 너를 기다리고 있지만
아무일도 일어나지 않겠지...

차를 몰고 나가고 있어
더 빨리 더 멀리 가 볼 생각인데...

맥없이 앉아있다가
당장 나가서 샤워라도 할까 했다가...
내 머리는 온통 먹구름으로 가득하고
너무 피곤해 침대에 드러누웠지.

세상은 변한게 없는데...
고독하다는 거, 난 정말 싫은데...
고독... 혼자 앉아서 레몬트리를 보고 싶지 않은데...
재미로 디저트를 휘휘 젓고 있어.
어쨌든 또 다른 즐길 거리를 찾아 봐야겠지.
그럼, 모든 것이 변하겠지. 과연 그럴까?

Fools Garden 은 1991년 독일에서 결성된 록그룹이다.

'Lemon Tree' 는 이들이 1995년 발표한 앨범 'Dish Of The Day' 에 수록된 곡으로

이곡으로 전세계적으로 많은 이들에게 알려지게 된다.

그후로 2000년과 2003년, 2005년에 앨범을 내게 되는데

그 사이 세명의 맴버가 팀을 떠나고, 그 자리를 다시 현재의 맴버들로 교체되는 과정을 거치면서

음악적으로도 많은 변화를 겪는다.

유독 유럽지역과 아시아에서 인기를 얻은 이들은 2003년 '25 Miles To Kissimmee' 앨범을

발표하면서 그들만의 독립 레이블 'Lemonade Music' 에서 작업함으로써 자신들의 음악을

더 충실히 하겠다는 의지를 보이기도 했다.

이들의 음악을 굳이 분류하자고 하면 포크음악의 색이 짙은 복고풍의 모던록 (브리티쉬록) 이라고 해야겠다.

가벼운 것 같으면서도 결코 가볍지 않은 그들의 음악이 더 오래오래 많은 이들의 사랑을 받을 수 있기를

바란다.
