SECTION III BUILDING WINGS
CHAPTER 1 GENERAL ARRANGEMENT (도면2-1. 날개의 상세도)
There are two types of wings for SkyGear, ‘Standard’ type and ‘Heavy Hauler’ type.
These two types of wings are structured to be folded by anchoring the bolts that hold the strut and the rear spar, by disassembling the wing fairing which holds into the main airframe and removing the single bolt that holds the front spar.
These wings are pre-assembled in the factory; their main structures are consisted of two aluminum spars, the ribs that made of epoxy-sandwich process, composite gas tank and the aluminum drag tube.
The gas tank and the 9 ribs are attached to the spar, making the washouts of the wings are fixated. During the wing tip and drag tube assembly, it is possible that the washouts can be altered; therefore it is extremely important to have the angles of the washouts are maintained and the wings are well-balanced.
따라서 빌더는 두개 이상의 쏘 호스 위에 날개를 고정시킨후 루트엔드 후론트 스파튜브의 수평상태와 리어 스파 튜브의 워시아웃을 바이스를 이용하여 고정시켜야 한다. 날개의 워시아웃은 리어스파의 12' 지점에 2" 블락을 그림과 같이 고여주어 고정한다.(그림: 워시아웃을 날개 상세도 하단에 포함 시킬것)
날개의 작업을 시작하기전 빌더는 필히 스파튜브를 검사하여 찌그러진 곳이나 심하게 패인 상처등이 없음을 확인 하여야 한다.
손톱자욱 정도의 흠집이 있는 경우에는 360grit emery paper 나 file 등을 이용하여 다듬어 준다.
11) 스파의 재단:빌더는 스파 튜브의 길이를 재어 공장에서 표시한 15' 지점을 확인하고 이 선에 따라 메인 스파의 길이를 절단하고 디버 작업을 한다.(tools:band saw or coping saw, deburring tool, files,)스파 튜브의 root end는 이미 공장에서 재단하여 rib과 gas tank 를 가장착 하였으므로 빌더는 윙 스파튜브의 tip end 만을 15' 에 마추어 재단한다.
22)Builder must accomplish finalizing the task of mounting the fuel tank and the gas tank ribs to the spar even though they are temporarily attached already. 이 작업은 1 번 rib와 gas tank short rib, #11 wing tip rib의 접착과 동시에 작업하므로서 소량의 에폭시 레진 작업을 여러차례 하지 않도록 한다.
*120 grit sand paper를 이용하여 이미 gas tank를 접합시킨 유리섬유 적층면을 샌딩한다. 이때에 기존 적층면을 너무 심하게 갈아내선 안되며 다만 새로 발라주는 1 겹의 유리섬유가 접착이 잘 될 수 있도록 샌딩작업을 한다는 점을 이해하여야 한다.

11. Spar tube의 재단
Spar Tube Fabrication
2개의 Sawhorses 를 이용하여 front spar와 rear spar를 2개의 sawhorse 위에 바이스로 고정한다.
Using two sawhorses, fixate the front spar and the rear spar on the top of the two sawhorses with vises.
동체에 결합되는 두개의 스파 튜브와 리어엔드의 Front spar튜브는 수평 상태에 있으며 Rear spar의 끝 부분은 2 Inch Block을 끼워 Washout 의 각도를 유지한다.
The two spar tubes and the front spars of the rear end that are to be united to the main airframe should be maintained horizontally, the end section of the rear spar should be inserted with 2-inch block to maintain the angle of the washout.
스파튜브는 동체와 날개를 볼트로 결합하기위한 5/16”hole 이 predrilled 되어있으나 날개를 접을시 스파튜브가 동체의 철구조물과 다투지 않토록 스파튜브를 제시된 템플레이트의 형상대로 Builder가 재단하여야 한다.(이 과정은 뒷 과정에 실시함)
The spar tube is pre-drilled with 5/15” hole for uniting the wing into the main airframe with the bolt. When the wing is folded, the spar tube should be custom tailored by the template provide
The drag tube’s structural purpose is to brace the two main spars to the rib of the wing.
