6. The Gospel Doctrine of Healing
IX. Why Christians Need to Seek Healing
1. Because it is God's solemn order
1) God is a God who heals His people and has shown them by example through His Word and life.
(Exodus 15:26)
He said to them, "If you obey the LORD your God, do what is right in my sight, listen to my commandments and keep all my statutes, then none of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians will come on you. I am the LORD who heals
(Exodus 23:25)
Serve the Lord your God, and the Lord will bless your food and water and remove sickness from among you (Deuteronomy 30:20)
(Psalm 1032-:3)
Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits; he forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.
2) Will we obey or disobey this commandment?
Are we going to use this healing oil that God has prepared for us or not?
2. Because healing is a blessing to those who believe
1) Satan is the cause of disease.
2) Sickness is a curse and is related to sin, and sin is related to Satan.
3) Therefore, healing is a blessing, liberation from Satan's oppression, and liberation from sin.
(James 5:15) -The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up, and if they have committed sins, they will be forgiven.
4) Through the suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross, He overcame the devil, the power behind disease, and saved us (1 John 3:8).
5) In the spiritual aspect, Jesus defeated the power of Satan, the force behind disease.

3. Healing brings glory to God
1) Some people say that sickness brings glory to God. It is to make the mistake of misinterpreting the Word of God.
2) When a sick person is healed in the name of Jesus, he gives glory to God.
(Matthew 9:1-8)
The paralytic was healed, and when the crowds saw this, they were afraid and gave glory to God, who had given such authority to man.
(Matthew 15:31)
When the crowd saw that the mute spoke and the cripple was sound, the lame walked and the blind saw, they marveled and gave glory to the God of Israel.
(Luke 13:13)
When Jesus laid his hands on her, the woman straightened them out and gave glory to God.
(John 11:4)
This disease is not a disease that will kill you, but for the glory of God, so that you may be glorified because of your name as the Son of God.
X. Six Ways of Healing
1. Healed through his prayers
(James 5:13) -Is any among you suffering? I will pray.
Thousands of people are being healed through their prayers.
2. Being healed through the prayers of others
(Jas 5:15) -The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up.
Those who have experienced the effects of intercessory prayer ask for prayer.
3. Calling the elders of the church to pray (James 5:14-16)
1) Anoint with oil and pray (Oil is not medicine, it means the Holy Spirit)
2) Requesting visits for the sick and praying and receiving healing through visits.
4. Laying hands on the sick and healing them (Mark 16:17-18)
(Matthew 8:14-15)
When Jesus entered Peter's house and found his mother-in-law lying with a fever, he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and the woman got up and began to attend to him.
-2-
(Mark 6:4-5) -Jesus said to them, "No prophet is without honor except in his own country and his relatives and his own house." I was just flossing
(Luke 4:40) -When the sun went down, all those who were sick with various diseases came to take care of the sick person, and Jesus laid his hands on them one by one and healed them.
(Luke 5:13) -Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, "I will; be made clean." Immediately the leprosy left him.
(Luke 13:12-13)
When Jesus saw it, he called out and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” Then he laid her hands on her, and immediately the woman straightened them and gave glory to God.
5. Healed through a special miracle
(Acts 19:11-12)
God worked strange miracles with Paul's hands, and people even took handkerchiefs or aprons from Paul's body and put them on the sick, and the disease left them and the evil spirits went out.
6. Received healing through the healing gift of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:28)
(1 Corinthians 12:9)
To another faith by the same Spirit, to another gift of healing by one Spirit
XI. Why aren't all the sick healed?
1) The God who heals us is the immutable God. In the history of God's redemption, the healing of all people's diseases was also accomplished through Jesus Christ. (Isa 53:5)
2) The work of the devil, which causes all diseases, was defeated by the work of Jesus who came to destroy the work of the devil.(1 John 3:8)
3) But why are countless people still suffering from the disease and praying to be healed, but not all are healed?
-3-
4) God does not lie and is unchanging yesterday, today, and forever. For what reason can he not be healed?
1. It is because they want to be healed before being saved.
1) Healing is included in the blessings of the covenant that God's children will receive.
2) God is for His children to live healthily with complete protection.
(Matthew 5:48)
Be ye therefore perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23)
May the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
3) Why does God heal only those who are saved? Has he not impartially healed the unbeliever?
(Matthew 5:45) -God makes the sun rise on the evil and the good, and makes it rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
4) Of course, God loves all mankind, so He gave salvation equally to all.
(John 3:16) -God so loved the people of the world that he gave his only begotten son, whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
5) The blessing of healing was also given for the people of the world, but those who believed received it.
2. Because of seeking healing for the wrong purpose
1) Healing was not given for complacency or to satisfy some selfish desire.
2) You cannot be healed for lustful desires.
(Jas 4:3) -If you ask and do not receive, you ask wrongly to use it for your lust.
3) Healing is for the glory of God and to serve him
-4-
3. Because we do not look to the Lord to be healed, but to people.
1) Of course, God's ministry of healing is also done through people, but that person does not heal the disease.
2) The only one who heals is the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, the gift of healing must make the sick look to the Lord.
(Acts 3:4-6)
Peter fixed his eyes with John and said, "Look at us." He looked to see what he might get from them. Walk in the name of Jesus Christ of Sareth (Acts 14:8-15)
4. Unhealed because of disobedience
(Exodus 15:26)
He said to them, "If you obey the LORD your God, and do what is right in my sight, and listen to my commandments and keep all my statutes, then none of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians will come upon you. I will not, for I am the Lord who heals you.
5. Not being healed because of hidden unconfessed sins.
1) Healing is not given as a reward for a holy life. wholly of God
