인간이 가장 오래 산 인간 수명을 찾아보면, 공식 기록상 가장 오래 산 사람은 프랑스 여성 잔 칼망(Jeanne Calment, 1875~1997)으로, 122세 164일(122년 5개월 14일)까지 살았습니다. 1997년 사망 당시 세계 최고령 기록을 세웠으며, 이 기록은 현재까지도 깨지지 않은 공식 장수 기록으로 인정받고 있습니다.

직전 글에서 밝혔듯이 120년 전인 1905년 11월 17일에 일본이 군대를 동원해 덕수궁 중명전에서 고종 황제를 협박하여 대한제국의 외교권을 박탈하고 실질적인 식민지화를 시작하는 미친 사건이 있었습니다. 그 때 이완용, 이근택, 이지용, 박제순, 권중현 지금으로 따지면 장관들이 일본에 붙어서 이 엉터리 조약에 사인하게 했죠. 이 조약의 상대방인 일본조차 정확히 60년이 지나고 1965년 한일기본조약에서 을사조약이 무효임이 재확인한 바 있죠.

그리고 다시 60년이 지난 을사년 2025년 음력으로 딱 5일 남기고 이 해를 돌아보면, 120년만에 미친 사건들이 모든 분야에서 동시다발적으로 벌어진 한 해로 평가됩니다.

시간 관계 상 딱 2개만 지적하겠습니다.

첫째, 인간이 기록상으로 120년 이상 산 사람이 1명 확인되었다고 서두에 말씀드렸는데, 다음과 같은 일이 벌어질 확률은 이보다 높을까요, 아니면 더 낮을까요?

2025년6월3일 밤 대한민국에서 벌어진 일입니다.

둘째, 그 날 밤 이후 집권한 정치세력은 매우 이중적인 잣대이자 선택적인 왜곡 잣대로 부동산 관련 세제는 이중과세도 위협하면서 똑같은 돈놀이 하는 주식시장은 그 반대로 정책을 망나니처럼 풀어놓으면서 오늘 주가까지 진행되었습니다. 이런 정책을 하는 국가가 세계적으로 이 정권 빼고 있었습니까?

When it comes to the longest human lifespan, the longest officially recorded lifespan is held by Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment (1875–1997), who lived to 122 years, 164 days (122 years, 5 months, and 14 days). At the time of her death in 1997, she held the world record for oldest living person, a record that remains unbroken to this day.

Today is December 25th of the lunar year of Eulsa.
As I mentioned in a previous post, 120 years ago, on November 17, 1905, Japan mobilized its military to threaten Emperor Gojong at Jungmyeongjeon Hall in Deoksugung Palace, effectively depriving the Korean Empire of its diplomatic rights and beginning its de facto colonization.
At that time, Lee Wan-yong, Lee Geun-taek, Lee Ji-yong, Park Je-sun, and Kwon Jung-hyun—what would be considered modern-day ministers—collaborated with Japan and forced them to sign this absurd treaty. Even Japan, the other party to this treaty, reaffirmed the nullity of the Eulsa Treaty in the 1965 Treaty on Basic Relations between the Republic of Korea and Japan, exactly 60 years later.

And looking back on this year, 2025, the year of Eulsa, 60 years later, with just five days remaining in the lunar calendar, it will be eval‎uated as a year in which the craziest events in 120 years occurred simultaneously across all sectors. Due to time constraints, I will only highlight two.

First, I mentioned earlier that there's one confirmed human who lived for over 120 years. Is the probability of something like this happening more or less likely?
This happened in South Korea on the night of June 3, 2025.

Second, the political power that took power that night has maintained a very double standard, a selective and distorted standard. Real estate-related taxes threaten double taxation, while the stock market, which is playing the same game, has been unleashing policies like a thug, driving up stock prices to their current levels. Has there been any other country in the world that has adopted such policies, except this administration?

The lunar calendar (sexagenary cycle) is a system that names 60 years, months, and days by sequentially combining the 10 stems (gap-eul-byeong-jeong-mu-gi-gyeong-sin-im-gye) and the 12 branches (ja-chuk-in-myo-jin-sa-o-mi-sin-yu-sul-hae). It cycles in 60-year cycles starting from the year of gap-ja to the year of gye-hae, and since the year of eul-sa in 1905, this is the second year of eul-sa in 120 years, and it will soon end with the Lunar New Year holiday.
