Marrielle ManuelI usually hear 하나요 form in interrogative expressions like 어떡하나요?(What should I do?). So, I think 감사하나요? is Should I be thankful?

Marrielle ManuelWe usually hear of 감사해요, but 감사하세요? 전혀. Probably in written form? It literally means "be thankful/be grateful", but really never heard someone saying that word.

Joseph Kim감사 is a noun. (Thanks) 감사하다 is a verb(감사+하다 do) to thank, to appreciate ex. 제니님께 감사합니다 감사하다 is an adjective to be thankful. ex. 도와주셔서 감사합니다.
감사하나요?=감사+하다+나+요. 나 is a finishing ending word of interrogation. 요 is a honorific postposition. So it means that speaker is asking the listener's emotional status. 'Are you thankful?' 감사하세요? 감사+하다+시+어요? 시=pre-ending word of honorific. 어요=finishing ending word of honorific. It aslo means Are you thankful?

Marrielle ManuelThank you so much 선생님. Is 감사하세요 always in the form of question?or can it be used in statement?
Like · More · Monday at 1:48pm
Joseph Kim@ Marrielle Manuel, without question mark it is like an order. Boss can say to an old subordinate 감사하세요 which means 'you should be thankful in this situation'

Joseph Kim@ Rouaa Shaheen 감사합니다 and 고맙습니다 are almost same. The difference is 감사합니다 is from Chinese letter and it can be used in formal situation but 고맙습니다 is from native word and it can be used in intimate situation. Thanks.
