IMAGINARY FRIEND  가상의 친구

Romans 1:18-25  

Abraham believed God . . .

and he was called the friend of God.  

아브라함이 하나님을 믿으니…

그는 하나님의 벗이라 칭함을 받았나니                     —James 2:23

얼마 전에 고속도로 주변에 다음과 같은 광고판이 있다는 말을 들었습니다.

“하나님은 가상의 벗이니, 실제를 택하라. 그것이 우리 모두에게 더 좋을 것이다.”

 Not long ago, I heard about this billboard along the highway:

 “God is an imaginary friend━choose reality.

 It will be better for all of us.”

이 대담한 진술은 명백히 그리스도인들을 대단한 상상력으로

가상의 친구를 만들어내는 어린아이들에 빗대고 있습니다. 

그러나 하나님이 과연 그런 상상의 친구일까요?

 Obviously,

the bold statement compares Christians to children

whose vivid imaginations invent a makebelieve companion.

But is that what God is━an imaginary friend?

사실, 여러 증거들은 하나님이 실제로 존재하는 분이라는 것을 더 보여줍니다.

다음 관점들을 생각해보십시오.

이 세상의 창조는 이 우주 뒤에 설계자가 계시다는 것을 보여주고 있습니다(롬 1:18-20).

양심은 옳고 그름을 알 수 있는 각 사람 의식의 저변에 입법자가 계시다는 것을 가리켜줍니다(롬 2:14-15).

음악과 미술에서 표현되는 우리의 독창성은

창조주가 지니신 것과 같은 특성임을 반영해 보여줍니다(출 35:31-32).

그리스도는 하나님의 형상을 인간의 모습으로 보여주십니다(히 1:1-4). 

그리고 그리스도인의 마음 가운데 성령님이 함께하시며 교제하심으로

하나님이 실재하는 분이심을 증명해 보여줍니다(갈 5:22-23).

Actually, the evidence favors His reality.

Ponder these ideas:

The creation of the world shows there is

a Designer behind the universe.

The conscience indicates a Lawgiver

behind each human’s sense of right and wrong.

The creativity we express in music and

art reflect the same attribute that the Creator possesses.

Christ reveals what God is like in human form.

And the communion or fellowship of the Spirit

in the Christian heart manifests the reality of God.

성경은 하나님의 실재를 부인하는 자가 있을 것이라고 말하고 있습니다(벧후 3:4-6).

 그러나 야고보는 하나님의 실재하심을 상기시켜주면서,

구약시대의 성도 한 사람이 하나님과 어떻게 교제했는지를 알려줍니다.

“아브라함이 하나님을 믿으니 이것을 의로 여기셨다는 말씀이 이루어졌고

그는 하나님의 벗이라 칭함을 받았나니”(약 2:23).

당신은 구원하시는 하나님을 만나셨습니까?

그분은 자기 아들을 당신의 실제적이고 영원한 친구로 주셨습니다(요 15:15
 
The Bible tells us

there will be those who deny the reality of God.

But James reminds us of His reality

and how an Old Testament believer befriended Him:

“ ‘Abraham believed God,

and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’

 And he was called the friend of God”.

Have you met the redeeming God?

He gave His Son to become your real, eternal Friend.

친구를 찾았네, 진정한 친구를! 내가 그분을 알기 전에 날 먼저 사랑하셨네 사랑의 줄로 나를 끌어당기시고 나를 그분께 묶으셨네 이 세상의 가장 귀한 친구도 예수님과 비교하면 그림자에 불과할 뿐이다.
