Isaiah 58:1~12

1. "Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.

2. For day after day they seek me out; they seem eager to know ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions and seem eager for God to come near them.

3. "Why have we fasted,' they say, 'and you have not seen it? Why have we humbled ourselves, and you have not noticed? "'Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please and exploit all your workders.

4. Your fasting ands in quarreling and strife,and in striking each other with with wicked fists. You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high.

5. Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for people to humble themselves? Is it only for bowing one's head like a reed and for lying in sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD?

6. "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen to loose the chosen of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

7. Is it not to share your food with the hungry and and to providethe poor wanderer with shelter -when you see the naked, to dothe them,and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

8. Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear, then your righteousness will go before you,and the glory of the LORD will be your real guard.

9. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer, you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I."if you do away with the yoke of opprssion, with the pointing finger and malicious talk.

10. and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

11. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. you will be like a well -watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

12. Your people will rebuild the ancient and will raise up the age-old foundations you will becalled Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Isaiah 58:1~12

1. 큰소리로 외치십시오. 참지 마십시오. 나팔처럼 목청을 높여 주십시오. 나의 백성과 야곱의 자손에게 그들의 반역을 선포하십시오.

2. 그들은 날마다 나를 찾아 나와서, 마치 자신들이 옳은 일을 하는 나라이고, 하나님의 명령을 저버리지 않는 나라인 것처럼, 길을 알고 싶어 하는 것 같습니다. 그들은 나에게 정의로운 결정을 요구하고, 하나님이 그들에게 가까이 오기를 간절히 바라는 것 같습니다.

3. 그들이 말하였다. `우리가 왜 금식하였느냐 ? 너희는 그것을 보지 못하였느냐 ? 우리가 어찌하여 겸손하였느냐 ? 너희는 금식하는 날에 너희는 마음대로 하여 너희의 모든 일꾼들을 착취하여야 한다.

4. 주님께서 금식하시고, 다투시거나 다투시거나, 악한 주먹으로 서로 때리시며, 오늘처럼 금식하시고, 높은 곳에서 주님의 목소리가 들리기를 기대하시면 안 됩니다.

5. 이것이 내가 택한 단식이요, 오직 사람들이 자신을 굽힐 수 있는 날입니다. 그것은 오직 갈대처럼 고개를 숙이고, 자루걸레와 재를 뒤집어쓰고 누워 있는 것뿐입니까? 이것이 주님께서 단식이라고 부르신 날입니까?

6. 내가 선택한 부정의를 풀고, 멍에의 끈을 풀고, 억압받는 자를 풀어주고, 모든 멍에를 깨뜨리는 것이 바로 이런 금식이 아니겠는가?

7. 너희는 굶주린 사람들과 너희의 음식을 나누어 먹지 않고, 가난한 방랑자들에게 거처를 제공하기 위해서이다. 너희는 벌거벗은 사람들을 볼 때에, 그것들을 하고, 너희의 살과 피를 외면하지 않기 위해서이다?

8. 그러면 주님의 빛이 새벽처럼 새어나올 것입니다. 주님의 치료가 금방 나타나실 것입니다. 주님의 의로움이 주님 앞에 나타나실 것입니다. 주님의 영광이 주님의 진짜 수호자가 될 것입니다.

9. 그러면 주께서 부르셔서, 구원을 부르실 것입니다. 그러면 주께서 부르심을 받으시고, 부르심을 받으시고, 이렇게 말씀하실 것입니다. "네가 손가락질과 악의에 찬 말로, 억압의 멍에를 없애면, 나는 여기에 있다.

10. 너희가 굶주린 사람들을 대신하여, 억압받는 사람들의 요구를 만족시키면, 어둠 속에서 너희의 빛이 솟아오를 것이고, 너희의 밤은 대낮처럼 될 것입니다.

11. 주님은 항상 여러분을 인도하실 것입니다. 그는 햇볕에 그을린 땅에서 여러분이 필요로 하는 것을 채워 주시고, 여러분의 몸을 튼튼하게 해 주실 것입니다. 여러분은 물이 잘 나오는 정원처럼, 물이 빠지지 않는 샘처럼 될 것입니다.

12. 여러분의 백성들은 고대의 것을 재건할 것이고, 여러분이 '부러진 성벽의 수리자', '주거지가 있는 거리의 복구자'라고 부르는 오래된 기초를 세울 것입니다.)
