Ballade 의 명곡 입니다.

그래서 인지 이 곡은 여성 가수들이 선호하는

곡이며, 기악 연주는 주로 피아노로 많이 다루어지고,

무겁고 우울한 분위기의 곡이지만 그 아름다움에

재즈 연주자는 이 곡을 그의 '레파토리'로 정한다고

합니다.

블루스 버전으로 '리메이크'하여 유명해진 이래

'Annita O'day', 'Laura Fygi', 'Wes Montgomary',

'Eddie Higgins', 'Clifford Brown' 등 수많은 Artist들에

의해 '커버' 되거나, '리메이크' 되었으며,

타의 추종을 불허 하는 오르간 재즈의 거장으로,

'Jimmy Smith(1928~2005)'버젼이 유명 합니다.
