Only the Lord Can Bless a Home 오직 주님께서만 가정을 축복하실 수 있다

Unless the Lord builds a house,
the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the Lord protects a city,
[guarding it with sentries] will do no good.

Unless the Lord 주님께서 builds 건축하시지 않는 이상 a house 집을,
the work 노력은 of the builders 건축자들의 is wasted 무용지물 됩니다.
Unless the Lord 주님께서 protects 보호하시지 않는 이상 a city 도성을,
[guarding 경비하기는 it 그걸 with sentries 경비병들로] will do 하지 않을 것입니다 no 아무런 good 유익한 일을.

It is useless [for you to work /so hard /from early morning /until late /at night],
anxiously working for food /to eat;
for God gives rest /to his loved ones.

for 왜냐면 God 하나님께서 gives 주시기 때문입니다 rest 휴식을 /to his 그분의 loved 사랑받는 ones 사람들에게.

마음이 안 편하면 몸도 안 편안하기에 몸은 휴식이나 놀이를 즐긴다 해도 마음의 짐은 가벼울 수가 없는 것은

현실적으로 내 마음의 짐을 다른 사람이 대신 져 줄 수 없는 때문인데 우리의 짐을 대신 질 수 있는 분은 오직 

인생을 창조하신 예수님께서만 하시는데 이마저도 그분께 가서 짐을 하역하지 않으면 헛 수고다 (마 11:28)

God takes care of his own, even while they sleep.

/in order to earn a living 삶을 얻기/먹고 살기 위하여].
God 하나님께서 takes care of 보살피십니다 his 그분의 own 소유/종들을,

even while 그동안조차  they 그들이 sleep 잠자는.

* 하나님께서 우리가 잠자는 동안 보살피시지 않으시면 호흡이나 심장 박동은 누가 할 것인가?

Children are a gift from the Lord;
they are a reward from him.

Children 자녀들은 are a gift 선물입니다 from the Lord 주님께로부터 온;
they 그들은 are a reward 상급입니다 from him 그분께로부터 온.

* be동사의 = equal 특성 즉 주어 = 보어 구조로 주어를 설명함 ; Children = a gift 자녀들은 선물이다

* 비교 Children are like a gift. 하면 비유적으로 선물과 같다는 표현이 되나 사실 선물이기에 like는 불필요함
* 자녀가 하나님의 선물인 건 키워본 사람이면 누구나 동의할 사안인데 그 선물은 어디선가에서 나온 자녀 사랑이고

자녀로부터 되돌아 오는 사랑이며 자녀 양육을 통하여 피조물의 부모이신 하나님의 심정을 깨달을 수 있는 유익인데

사랑은 사랑이신 하나님께로부터 오는 것이라 댓가 없이 무조건 주는 것이 부모 사랑이고 받으니 줄 수 있는 것이다

자녀들을 부모의 생명을 보호하는 전통의 화살처럼 키우지 못한 자신의 책임을 자녀 원망으로 대체할 수는 없다

He will not be put to shame /when he confronts his accusers at the city gates.

He 그는 will not be put to shame 망신당하지 않을 것입니다

5 The more you have, the better off you will be,
because they will protect you /when your enemies attack you /in court.

* 구약의 농경사회에서는 대가족이어야 모든 면에서 유리했었지만 신약의 핵가족 사회에서는 대가족이 휘귀하나

신약 시대의 영적인 대가족의 축복과 관련해 본다면 원수마귀들이 공격할 때 교회 전체가 합심 기도로 도운다면

독불 대장군 혼자 보다도 가족 대장군의 지원으로 싸우면 훨씬 수월하게 원수마귀를 물리칠 수 있을 것이지만

가족으로 치면 하나님의 백성/가족이기에 사실 부모이신 하나님의 법정 변론과 공방이 승전의 핵심인 것이다
