Dear Sandol Methodist Church,

My heart is full of happiness because I am able to write you a gratitude letter once again. My scholarship started when I was in high school, and now, it has been 2 years and 6 months since I had my degree in college, and I am now currently working in government at the Land Transportation Office here in the Philippines. Pastor Chang-Jin Hwang and you, the good people of Sandol Methodist Church, played a big role in my life, especially in my studies back then. You are one of the big reasons for everything that I have right now and the person I am today. I am so blessed and will always be forever grateful to each and every one of you for your generosity and kindness you have showered on me. I am praying for all of you for your happiness and health, and may the Lord bless you even more.

다시 한번 감사 편지를 쓸 수 있게 된 것으로 인하여 제 마음은 행복으로 가득 차 있습니다. 저는 고등학교 때부터 장학금을 받기 시작했고, 대학을 졸업하고 학사 학위를 받은 지 2년 6개월이 지난 지금, 저는 필리핀 국토교통청에서 정부 업무를 하고 있습니다. 황창진 목사님과 좋으신 산돌감리교회 교우들의 기도는 제 인생에서 큰 역할을 해주셨습니다. 여러분은 지금 제가 가지고 있는 것들을 가능하게 해주셨으며 지금의 저를 있게 해 주셨습니다. 여러분의 관대함과 친절함에 항상 감사드립니다. 여러분 모두의 행복과 건강을 위해 기도하며, 주님께서 더욱 복되게 해 주시기를 바랍니다.

Dear Sandol Methodist Church,

I don't know how or where to start this letter to say thank you. I really thanking YOU all for the kindness, generosity and love you always share to us. I may not thank you enough to ALL OF YOU but I hope you can feel how grateful I am by this letter I wrote. Everytime we spend more time together, the more I realize how blessed we are that God gave us a kind and act like a father to us. I know that at your age, it's not easy to travel going here. I know you're body is tired but you still show us your happiness to visit us here. We really appreciated all your efforts and sacrifices to us. I really pray to God for you a good health and a longer life.

이 편지를 어떻게 어디서부터 시작해야 할지 모르겠습니다. 산돌교회가 항상 우리에게 나눠준 친절함, 관대함, 사랑에 진심으로 감사드립니다. 어떤 인사로도 여러분 모두에게 충분히 감사하지는 않겠지만 제가 쓴 이 편지를 통해 얼마나 감사한지 느낄 수 있기를 바라는 마음입니다. 시간이 지날수록 하나님께서 우리에게 친절을 베풀어주시고 특히 목사님이 아버지처럼 살펴주는 것이 얼마나 큰 은총인지를 깨닫게 됩니다. 목사님이 저희 마을까지 오는 것이 쉽지 않다는 것을 알고 있습니다. 몸이 피곤하신 건 알지만 그래도 이곳을 방문하여 행복한 시간을 만들어 주셔서 감사합니다. 산돌교회 여러분의 모든 노력과 희생에 진심으로 감사드립니다. 여러분의 건강과 더 건강한 삶을 위해 하나님께 진심으로 기도합니다.

Dear Pastor,

Thank you very much again for coming here to the Philippines, Pastor. It truly means so much to me that you came all the way here to see us again, Pastor. The Lord is really kind, and I am so blessed to have you as my pastor, along with the Sandol Church. One of the things that made me feel better was your visit here in the Philippines, Pastor. I sincerely thank you for coming again because of me. I will always pray that the Lord gives you strength, especially as you continue helping many more students like me who struggle financially. I did not expect that you would come to the Philippines again because of me, and I truly appreciate it, Pastor. I also apologize for what happened and for the unexpected incident. Pastor, I am so happy to see you again. I pray that the next time we meet, the Lord will bless you with even more strength and a long life. Someday, when I have a job and a stable income, I will visit you in Korea and thank you again for all the kindness you have shown me. I will also never forget Sandol Church.

목사님께서 다시 한 번 필리핀에 와주신것에 감사드립니다. 목사님께서 우리를 만나기 위해 여기까지 오셨다는 것은 저에게 정말 큰 의미가 있습니다. 주님은 참으로 자비로우십니다. 산돌교회와 함께 목사님과 함께 하게 된 것은 커다란 축복입니다. 목사님이 필리핀을 방문하신 것은 즐겁고 감사한 일입니다. 특히 저로 인해 다시 와주셔서 진심으로 감사드립니다. 저처럼 경제적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 많은 학생들을 계속 도와주시는 만큼 항상 건강하시기를 위하여 주님께 기도하겠습니다. 저로 인하여 다시 필리핀에 오실 줄은 몰랐고, 이에 진심으로 감사드립니다, 목사님. 또한 예상치 못한 일로 걱정하게 해드려서 송구합니다. 다시 만나게 되어 정말 기쁘고 다음에 만날 때까지 주님께서 보살펴주시기를 기도합니다. 언젠가 제가 직업을 갖고 안정적인 삶을 살아가게 되면 한국을 방문해서 베풀어 주신 친절에 감사드리고 싶습니다. 산돌교회를 절대로 잊지 않겠습니다.

First of all, I am truly grateful because your organization has become a blessing to me. Especially to pastor Chang-Jin Hwang who is doing an effort every year to come here in Philippines as an instrument of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Chang-Jin Hwang was very kind and giveful.

I am grateful for the scholarship, Sandol Methodist church. The scholarship was a very big help for me and my parents, because the financial problem has lessen. Thank you for this opportunity. More blessing to come.
