Bible Reading - Proverbs 19:11~19

19:11 A man's wisdom gives him patience; 지혜는 사람에게 인내심을 준다.

it is to his glory to overlook(간과하다.너그러이 봐주다) an offense(경미한 범죄,무례).

잘못을 용서하는 것은 영광스러운 일이다.

19:12 A king's rage(분노) is like the roar(포효) of a lion, 왕의 분노는 사자의 포효와 같으나

but his favor is like dew on the grass. 그의 호의는 풀 위의 이슬과 같다.

19:13 A foolish son is his father's ruin, 어리석은 아들은 아버지의 파멸이고

and a quarrelsome(다투기를 좋아하는) wife is like a constant(끊임없이) dripping(떨어지는).

다투기 좋아하는 아내는 끊임없이 떨어지는 물방울과 같다.

19:14 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, 집들과 재산은 부모로부터 상속되지만 

but a prudent(신중한) wife is from the LORD. 신중한 아내는 여호와께로부터 말미암는다.

19:15 Laziness brings on deep sleep, 게으름은 깊은 잠을 가져오고

and the shiftless(아무 것도 하지 않는) man goes hungry. 게으른 사람은 배고프다.

19:16 He who obeys instructions guards his life, 명령을 지키는 자는 자기 생명을 보호하지만

but he who is contemptuous(경멸하는,얕잡아보는) of his ways will die.

자신의 행위를 업신여기는 자는 죽을 것이다.

19:17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD,

가난한 자에게 친절한 자는 여호와께 꾸어주는 것이며

and he will reward him for what he has done.

그는 그가 행한 것에 대해 그에게 상을 주실 것이다. 

19:18 Discipline your son, 네 아들을 징계하라.

for in that there is hope; 거기에 소망이 있기 때문이다.

do not be a willing party(기꺼운 동참) to his death. 그의 죽음에 기꺼이 동참하지 말아.

19:19 A hot-tempered(성격이 급한) man must pay the penalty;

성격이 급한 사람은 벌을 받아야 한다.

if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.

만일 네가 그를 구한다면 너는 그것을 다시 해야만 할 것이다.
