자유비행은 고무동력기, 토우잉 글라이더가 주종목 이었는데요.

만점자가 너무 많이 나오는 현실입니다.

잘 만들고 운좋아서 상승기류에 얹으면 내려오지 않아 기체를 잃어버리기 십상이고요.

따라서 중상급 글라이더는 타이머 장착이 필수이고요.

김승길 고문님의 추천으로 소형전동자유비행(EFF : Electric Free Flight) 종목에 대해 정리해 보았습니다.

최근 미국에서 시작된 전동자유비행(EFF : Electric Free Flight) 종목을 소개합니다.

FAI Rule에는 Class F1S(E36) 종목으로 분류되어 있습니다.

3.S CLASS F1S SMALL ELECTRIC POWER MODEL AIRCRAFT “E36”

3.S.1 Definition

Model aircraft which is powered by an electric motor(s) and in which lift is generated by aerodynamic forces acting on surfaces that remain fixed in flight except to dethermalise.

3.S.2 Characteristic

Nickel Cadmium (NiCad), Nickel Metal Hydrate (NiMH) and Lithium (Li) batteries can be used. Only 2 cell Lithium batteries or up to 6 cell Nickel cells can be used. Other battery related specifications in 3.Q.2 apply.

Rule B.3.1 of section 4b does not apply to the class. (Builder of the model).

Maximum duration of motor run.....................................10 seconds during the regular flights.

Minimum weight ............................................................120 g

Maximum wing span .....................................................91.44 cm (36 inches)

The number of models eligible for entry by each competitor is three.

3.S.3 Number of flights

a) Each competitor is entitled to five official flights.

b) Each competitor is entitled to one official flight in each round of the event. The duration of rounds must be announced in advance and may not be less than 30 minutes or greater than 90 minutes. The competitor must launch his model during the round for the official flight, including attempts and repeated attempts.

조종면 사용불가 : 런칭후 상승기류 탈출(de-thermalization)을 위해 수평꼬리날개 또는 날개를 단한번 움직이는 것만 허용한다.

E-36 동력규정

모터 : 제한없음

배터리 : 리튬2셀, 니켈6셀

프롭 : 감속기어, 폴딩프롭 허용

E-36 모터런/최대비행시간

각각의 비행시도의 최대 기록시간은 2분(120초).

모터런 시간 (1,2,3회 시도 : 15초, 4회 시도 : 10초, 5,6회 시도 : 5초)

E-36 비행횟수와 점수

총 6회의 비행시도중 3회의 비행을 공식비행으로 한다.

3회 공식비행 합산 (최대점수 120초x3회=360점)

모터런 시간 초과시 해당비행시도는 0점 처리

E-20 기체규정

날개길이 : 20인치(50.8cm) 이하의 단엽기

기체중량 : 28.35g(1oz.) 이상

조종면 사용불가 : 런칭후 상승기류 탈출(de-thermalization)을 위해 수평꼬리날개 또는 날개를 단한번 움직이는 것만 허용한다.

E-20 동력규정

모터 : 8.5mm 코어리스 전기모터

배터리 : 리튬1셀(3.7V) 160mAh이하

프롭 : 직경 2.7인치 이하, 감속기어 비허용, 폴딩프롭 허용

타이머 : 전자식/기계식 타이머 허용

E-20 모터런/최대비행시간

각각의 비행시도의 최대 기록시간은 90초.

모터런 시간 (1,2,3회 시도 : 20초, 결선 : 10초)

E-20 비행횟수와 점수

총 3회의 비행시도를 공식비행으로 한다.

3회 공식비행 합산 (최대점수 90초x3회=270점)

모터런 시간 초과시 해당비행시도는 0점 처리

270점 만점자가 다수일때에는 모터런 10초, 최대기록시간 2분(120초)으로 결선비행
