성경말씀: 민수기 22~24장

Scripture Reading: Numbers 22-24

“이스라엘이 아모리인에게 행한 모든 일을 보고, 심히 두려워하며 번민하던. 모압 왕 십볼의 아들 발락이. 사신을 브올의 아들 발람에게 보내어 한 민족이 애굽에서 나와 우리 맞은편에 거주하고, 강하니 와서 이 백성을 저주하라 내가 그들을 쳐서 이겨 몰아내리라 그대가 복을 비는 자는 복을 받고 저주하는 자는 저주를 받을 줄을 내가 앎이니라(22:2-6)” 했던 브올의 아들 발람처럼 영적인 능력을 인정받고, “발람이 그들에게 여기서 유숙하라 여호와께서 내게 이르시는 대로 대답하리라. 하나님이 발람에게 말씀하시되 너와 함께 있는 이 사람들이 누구냐. 발람이 하나님께 모압 왕 십볼의 아들 발락이 보낸 자들이니이다. 애굽에서 나온 민족이 지면에 덮였으니 와서 그들을 저주하라 내가 그들을 쳐서 몰아내리라 하나이다. 하나님이 발람에게 그들과 함께 가지도 말고 그 백성을 저주하지도 말라(22:8-12)” 하셨듯, 하나님께서 가르치며 사용하셔도, “발람이 아침에 발락의 귀족들에게 너희의 땅으로 돌아가라 여호와께서 너희와 함께 가기를 허락하지 아니하시느니라(22:13)” 하였듯, 순종하는 믿음을 끝까지 지키지 못하면 멸망을 당하는 그리스도 심판의 법칙을 가르치는 말씀입니다.

Even if, anyone who recognized as having spiritual power like Balaam the son of Beor, as “Saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, and Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites. So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time, sent messengers to summon Balaam son of Beor, who was at Pethor, neer the River, in his native land. Balak said: A people has come out of Egypt; they cover the face of the land and have settled next to me. Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps then I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the country. For I know that those you bless are blessed, and those you curse aer cursed (22:2-6)” And, even if God teaches and uses him, as “Spend the night here, Blaam said to them, and I will bring you back the answer the Lord gives me. So, the Moabite princes stayed with him. God came to Blaam and asked, ‘Who are these men with you? Balaam said to God, Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, sent me this message: A people that has come out of Egypt covers the face of the land. Now come and put a curse on them for me. Perhaps then I will be able to fight them and drive them away. But God said to Balaam, ‘Do not go with them. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed (22:8-12)” If he failed to obey God’s will to the his end, he will surely be judged to destruction by the gospel of Christ, as “The next morning Balaam got up and said to Balak’s princes, ‘Go back to your own country, for the Lord has refused to let me go with you (22:13)”

하나님께서 허락하지 않아 오지 못한다는 소식을 들은 발락이 높은 고관들을 또 보냈고, “그들이 발람에게 발락의 말씀에 아무것도 거리끼지 말고 내게로 오라. 그대를 높여 크게 존귀하게 하고 그대의 말대로 시행하리니 이 백성을 저주하라 하시더이다. 발람이 발락의 신하들에게 발락이 집에 가득한 은금을 줄지라도 내가 여호와 하나님의 말씀을 덜하거나 더하지 못하겠노라. 여기서 유숙하라 여호와께서 무슨 말씀을 더하실지 알아보리라. 하나님이 발람에게 사람들이 부르러 왔거든 함께 가라 내가 이르는 말만 준행하라(22:16-20)” 하였듯, 철저하게 순종하는 믿음인 것처럼 할지라도 하나님은 마음을 보고 응답하시는데, 하나님의 진리를 찾지 않고 외면적 의미대로 믿고 떠난 발람에게 진노하여 천사를 보내셨고, 심판의 칼을 든 천사를 본 나귀가 발락을 위하여 피한 것을 모르는 발람이 나귀를 때리므로 천사가 나귀의 입을 열어 꾸짖어도 깨닫지 못하므로 천사가 직접 보여주므로, 깨닫고 고백하며 돌아가려던 발람에게, “가라 내가 네게 이르는 말만 할지니라(22:35)” 경고하고 보낸 것처럼, 하나님께서 가르치시고 사용하는 사람이라도 올바른 믿음을 끝까지 못하면 대속과 구원을 얻지 못한다는 뜻입니다.

When Balak sent more high-ranking officials to Balaam again. Although Balaam spoke as if he was completely obedient to God’s will, but responded to him according to his hearts appropriately because God known well his mind and heart, as “They came to Balaam and said: This is what Balak son of Zippor says: Do not let anything keep you from coming to me, Because I will reward you handsomely and do whatever you say. Come and put a curse on these people for me. But Balaam answered them, ‘Even if Balak gave me his palace filled with silver and gold, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God. Now stay here tonight as the others did, and I will find out what else the Lord will tell me. That night God came to Balaam and said, ‘Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you (22:16-20)” However, Balaam did not seek God’s true will, and went away under the mistaken belief that God had permitted him, so God was angry and sent an angel with a sword to block him. The donkey that saw the angel avoided him three times and saved his life, but he did not know it and beat the donkey. Even though the Angel rebuked him through the donkey’s mouth, he did not understand, so that the angel showed himself to be sawed to eyes of Balaam and he realized, confessed, and was about to turn back, but was sent Balaam to Balak with warning. as “Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you (22:35)” Likewise, even those who are taught and used by God will not be maintain the faith of proper obedience until the end will not receive the atonement and salvation of Christ but will be judged to destroyed.

발락이 국경까지 나아가 맞이하며 “내가 어찌 그대를 높여 존귀하게 하지 못하겠느냐(24:37)” 힐난하므로, 발람이 “내가 오기는 하였으나 무엇을 말할 능력이 있으리이까 하나님이 내 입에 주시는 말씀을 할 뿐이라(24:38)” 신실한 믿음처럼 고백하며 환영을 받고 바알의 산당에 올라 이스라엘 진을 살펴보고, “제단 일곱을 쌓고 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비하소서 하매, 발락이 준비한 후에 발락과 발람이 제단에 수송아지와 숫양을 드리니라. 발람이 발락에게 당신의 번제물 곁에 서소서 나는 저리로 가리이다 여호와께서 오셔서 나를 만나시리니 지시하시는 것은 다 당신에게 알리리이다(23:1-3)” 하였듯, 철저하게 하나님을 경외하며 순종하는 모습을 보였으나, “하나님이 임하시는지라 발람이 내가 일곱 제단을 쌓고 각 제단에 수송아지와 숫양을 드렸나이다(23:4)” 하였듯 행위를 내세웠지만, “여호와께서 발람의 입에 말씀을 주며 돌아가서 말할지니라(23:5)” 하셨듯, 그릇된 믿음도 사용하며 선을 이루는 하나님의 섭리 때문에, “그의 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라(롬8:28)” 하셨습니다.

When Balak welcomed Balaam at the border of his country but rebuked him, as “Am I really not able to reward you (22:37)” However, Balaam saying that he had a sincere faith, as “I have come to you now, but can I say just anything? I must speak only what God puts in my mouth (22:38)” But, he went up to the high place of Baal and looked at the camp of Israel, and said to Balak, as “Build me seven altars here, and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me. Balak did as Balaam said, and the two of them offered a bull and a ram on each altar. Then Balaam said to Balak, ‘Stey here beside your offering while I go aside. Perhaps the Lord will come to meet with me. Whatever he reveals to me I will tell you. Then he went off to a barren height (23:1-3)” But as if he thoroughly fear and obey God, but he demonstrated his legal faith only, as “God met with him, and Balaam said, ‘I have prepared seven altars, and on each altar I have offered a bull and a ram (23:4)” Yet, God uses even false belief to accomplished his good wills, as “The Lord put a message in Balaam’s mouth and said, Go back to Balak and give him this message (23:5)” So, God teaches us as that providence of God through the bible, as “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans8:28)”

그래서 발람이 “발락이 나를 데려다가 야곱을 저주하라, 이스라엘을 꾸짖으라 하도다. 하나님이 저주하지 않으신 자를 내가 어찌 저주하며 여호와께서 꾸짖지 않으신 자를 내가 어찌 꾸짖으랴. 이 백성은 홀로 살 것이라 여러 민족 중의 하나로 여기지 않으리로다. 야곱의 티끌을 누가 세며 이스라엘 사분의 일을 누가 능히 셀고 나는 의인의 죽음을 죽기 원하며 나의 종말이 그와 같기를 바라노라(23:7-10)” 전하였고, “발락이 발람에게 그대가 어찌 이같이 행하느냐 나의 원수를 저주하라고 데려왔거늘 오히려 축복하였도다. 발람이 대답하되 여호와께서 주신 말씀을 내가 어찌 말하지 아니할 수 있으리이까(23:11-12)” 증거하지만, 이스라엘 진영 한쪽 끝만 보이는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 일곱 제단을 쌓고 제물을 드리며 하나님의 뜻을 다시 물었듯, 예물로 하나님 마음도 바꿀 수 있다 착각하는 그릇된 믿음이었습니다.

That’s why, the Balaam said according to the will of God, as “Balak brought me from Aram, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains. Come, he said, curse Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel. How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the Lord has not denounced? From the rocky peaks I see them, from the heights I view them. I see them, from the heights I view them. I see a people who live apart and do not consider themselves one of the nations. Who can count the dust of Jacob or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and may my end be like theirs (23:7-10)” And, testimony it, as “Balak said to Balaam, ‘What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but you have done nothing but bless them. He answered, ‘Must I not speak what the Lord puts in my mouth? (23:11-12)” Yet, he had false faith of possibly changed the God’s wills with his offerings of the seven bulls and rams on the seven altars.

그래도 하나님께서 다시 말씀하시므로, “하나님은 사람이 아니시니 거짓말을 하지 않으시고 인생이 아니시니 후회가 없으시도다 어찌 말씀하신 바를 행하지 않으시며 하신 말씀을 실행하지 않으시랴. 내가 축복할 것을 받았으니 그가 주신 복을 돌이키지 않으리라. 야곱의 허물을 보지 아니하시며 이스라엘의 반역을 보지 아니하시는도다 여호와 그들의 하나님이 함께 계시니 왕을 부르는 소리가 있도다. 하나님이 그들을 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨으니 힘이 들소와 같도다. 야곱을 해할 점술이 없고 이스라엘을 해할 복술이 없도다 하나님께서 야곱과 이스라엘에게 행하신 일이 어찌 그리 크냐 하리라. 이 백성이 암사자와 수사자 같이 일어나서 움킨 것을 먹으며 죽인 피를 마시기 전에는 눕지 아니하리라(23:19-24)” 하였듯, 하나님의 뜻을 전하는 도구로 계속 사용하십니다.

Nevertheless, God appeared and spoke to him and used him as an instrument to convey God’s will, as “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. The Lord their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. There is no sorcery against Jacob, no divination against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘See what God has done. The people rise like a lioness; they rouse themselves like a lion that does not rest till he devours his pray and drinks the blood of his victims (23:19-24)”

그래서 “나를 위하여 그들을 저주하기를 하나님이 혹시 기뻐하시리라(23:27)” 하고, 발락이 브올 산으로 인도했을 때, 발람이 “일곱 제단을 쌓고 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비하소서(23:29)” 하였듯, 예배와 예물로 하나님의 환심을 사려는 그릇된 믿음임에도, “하나님의 영이 임하여(24:2)” 가르치셨고, “하나님의 말씀을 듣는 자, 전능자의 환상을 보는 자, 엎드려서 눈을 뜬 자가 말하기를, 야곱이여 네 장막들이, 이스라엘이여 네 거처들이 어찌 그리 아름다운고, 그 벌어짐이 골짜기 같고 강 가의 동산 같으며 여호와께서 심으신 침향목들과 물가의 백향목들 같도다. 물통에서는 물이 넘치겠고 씨는 많은 물가에 있으리라 그의 왕이 아각보다 높으니 나라가 흥왕하리라. 하나님이 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨으니 힘이 들소와 같아 적국을 삼키고 뼈를 꺾으며 화살로 쏘아 꿰뚫으리라. 꿇어 앉고 누움이 수사자와 암사자와 같으니 일으킬 자 누구이랴 너를 축복하는 자마다 복을 받고 저주하는 자마다 저주를 받으리라(24:4-9)” 하였듯, 저주하려던 마음을 바꾸어 축복하게 하셨습니다.

So, Balak said to Balaam and led him to mount Peor, as “Perhaps it will please God to let you curse them for me from there (23:27)” And Balaam said to Balak, as “Build me seven altars here, and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me (23:29)” Even though, Balaam has a false belief that sought to win God’s favor with gifts and sacrifices, “The Spirit of God came upon him (24:2)” And, teaches God’s true wills to him, and God was changed his mind and heart from the curses to blessed to Israelites of the God’s people, as “The oracle of one who hears the words of God, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened: How beautiful are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel. Like valleys they spread out, like gardens beside a river, like aloes planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters. Water will flow from their buckets; their seed will have abundant water. Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted. God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces; with their arrows they piece them. Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness-who dares to rouse them? May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed (24:4-9)”

그래서 발락이 화를 내는데도, “한 별이 야곱에게서 한 규가 이스라엘에게서 일어나서 모압을 쳐서 무찌르고 셋의 자식들을 멸하리라. 에돔이나 세일도 그들의 유산이 되고. 주권자가 야곱에게서 나서 남은 자들을 멸절하리라, 아말렉은 민족들의 으뜸이나 멸망하리라, 겐 족속은 거처가 견고하고 바위에 있으나, 가인이 앗수르의 포로가 되리라. 슬프다 하나님이 이 일을 행하시리니 살 자가 누구이랴. 깃딤 해변에서 배들이 와서 앗수르를 학대하며 에벨을 괴롭히나 그도 멸망하리라(24:17-24)” 하며 그리스도의 심판까지 선포하게 하셨지만, “발람을 칼로 죽였듯(31:8)” 하나님께서 가르치며 사용하시는 은혜가 그리스도의 대속과 구원을 보장하지 않습니다. 그러므로, 말씀에 숨기고 성령으로 가르치는 그리스도 복음의 진리를 올바로 알고 올바로 믿으며, 임마누엘 하나님 은혜와 사랑 안에서 죽기까지 순종하고 대속과 구원 얻기를 예수 이름으로 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

So, God made Balaam proclaimed the judgement of Christ, even though Balak was angry to him, as “A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the sons of Sheth. Edom will be conquered; Seir, his enemy, will be conquered, but Israel will grow strong. A ruler will come out of Jacob and destroy the survivors of the city. Then Balaam saw Amalek and uttered his oracle: Amalek was first among the nations, but he will come to ruin at last. Then he saw the Kenites and uttered his oracle: Your dwelling place is secure your nest is set in a rock; yet you Kenites will be destroyed when Asshur takes you captive. Then he uttered his oracle: Ah, who can live when God does this? Ships will come from the shores of Kittim; they will subdue Asshur and Eber, but they too will come to ruin (24:17-24)” Because, God does not guarantee the atonement and salvation in Christ Jesus, even though God had been teaches, guides and uses those whom as that Balaam was, so that God causes Balaam was killed by the swords of the Israelite soldiers who were attacking Moab at God’s command, as “Killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword (31:8)” Therefore, beloved brothers and sisters, you shall be known well correctly of the true wills of the gospel in Christ Jesus whom, the Holy Spirit will be teaches it hidden in the words of God in the bible. And, be sincerely obedient it until your death within the graces and loves of your God of Immanuel, then you will surely be atonement and salvation of the Christ Jesus. I will hopefully pray and plead for you to my God, you should be accomplished as that right and correctness faith in Christ Jesus all. Amen.
