Ask & obey, be Great Blessed, but Complain & Resent, be Judged

성경말씀: 민수기 21장

Scripture Reading: Numbers 21

본문에서 “네겝에 거주하는 가나안 사람 아랏의 왕이 이스라엘이 아다림 길로 온다 함을 듣고 이스라엘을 쳐서 그 중 몇 사람을 사로잡은지라. 이스라엘이 여호와께 서원하되 주께서 만일 이 백성을 내 손에 넘기시면 내가 그들의 성읍을 다 멸하리이다. 여호와께서 이스라엘의 목소리를 들으시고 가나안 사람을 그들의 손에 넘기시매 그들과 그들의 성읍을 다 멸하니라 그러므로 그 곳 이름을 호르마라 하였더라(21:1-3)” 하였듯, 하나님의 뜻을 묻고 응답하며 허락하시는 하나님의 뜻에 따라 순종하면 형통하게 이루는 복을 받습니다.

If you always ask for God’s will, respond, and obey God’s will that He grants, you will receive the blessing of Immanuel God who brings successful, as “When the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked the Israelites and captured some of them. Then Israel made this vow to the Lord: If you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities. The Lord listened to Israel’s [plea and gave the Canaanites over to them. They completely destroyed them and their towns; so, the place was named Hormah (21:1-3)”

그러나, “백성이 호르 산에서 출발하여 홍해 길을 따라 에돔 땅을 우회하려 하다가 길로 말미암아 백성의 마음이 상하니라. 백성이 하나님과 모세를 향하여 원망하되 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도해 내어 광야에서 죽게 하는가 이 곳에는 먹을 것도 없고 물도 없도다 우리 마음이 이 하찮은 음식을 싫어하노라 하매, 여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많더라(21:4-6)” 하였듯, 고난의 길로 인도하고 연단하며 구원하려는 하나님의 뜻을 이해하지 못하고 참지 못하며 불평하고 원망하면 멸망의 심판을 받는 것이, 사람에게 자유의지를 주시고 자신이 생각하고 선택하는 삶을 따라 엄격하게 심판하는 하나님의 공의로운 섭리이고, 사람의 자유의지가 가진 책임과 의무이며 심판의 법칙입니다.

On the contrary, if we do not know God’s will to lead us through suffering and to save us, and cannot endure it, and complain and resent, God will judge us with destruction. This is God’s righteous providence that strictly judges people according to the lives they have chosen and lived with their free-will, and it is the responsibility and duty given to people’s free-will, as “They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, ‘Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread. There is no water. And we detest this miserable food. Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died (21:4-6)”

그러나 “백성이 모세에게 이르러 말하되 우리가 여호와와 당신을 향하여 원망함으로 범죄하였사오니 여호와께 기도하여 이 뱀들을 우리에게서 떠나게 하소서 모세가 백성을 위하여 기도하매, 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 매달아라 물린 자마다 그것을 보면 살리라. 모세가 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 다니 뱀에게 물린 자가 놋뱀을 쳐다본즉 모두 살더라(21:7-9)” 하였듯, 하나님의 공의로운 징계와 심판을 받으며 자신의 죄를 깨닫고 인정하며 회개하고 간구하면, 사람을 물어 죽이는 맹독을 가진 불뱀과 똑같은 ‘뱀의 모형을 만들어 장대에 높이 달고 그것을 바라보는 자마다 살리라’ 하셨듯, 성령으로 가르치시는 은혜를 얻는데, 모세가 하나님 말씀에 순종하며 만들어, ‘높이 매달은 놋 뱀을 쳐다본 자는 다 살아난’ 것처럼, 성령의 가르침을 따라 순종하면 용서하고 다시 살리시는 것이, 하나님께서 창조 이전 그리스도 안에 정하신 믿음과 대속과 구원의 법칙입니다.

However, if we realize and admit our sins, repent and pray while receiving God’s discipline and judgement, and if we obey the Holy Spirit’s teachings and follow the teachings of the Holy Spirit, just as those who were bitten by poisonous snakes and were about to die were healed and revived the moment they looked at the bronze snake, God forgave all our sins and led us back to the path, redemption, and salvation of Christ, which God established in Christ from eternity before creation, as “The people came to Moses and said, ‘We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us. So, Moses payed for the people. The Lord said to Moses, ‘Make a snake and put it up a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live. So, Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived (21:7-9)”

그런 고난과 연단 속에서 배우고 자라난 믿음으로 “이스라엘 자손이 그 곳을 떠나 오봇에 진을 쳤고, 오봇을 떠나 모압 앞쪽 해 돋는 쪽 광야 이예아바림에 진을 쳤고, 거기를 떠나 세렛 골짜기에 진을 쳤고, 거기를 떠나 아모리인의 영토에서 흘러나와서 광야에 이른 아르논 강 건너편에 진을 쳤으니 아르논은 모압과 아모리 사이에서 모압의 경계가 된 곳이라. 이러므로 여호와의 전쟁기에 일렀으되 수바의 와헙과 아르논 골짜기와, 모든 골짜기의 비탈은 아르 고을을 향하여 기울어지고 모압의 경계에 닿았다(21:10-15)” 하였듯, 말씀과 성령의 가르침과 인도를 따라 순종하였을 때, “거기서 브엘에 이르니 브엘은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하시기를 백성을 모으라 내가 그들에게 물을 주리라 하시던 우물이라(21:16)” 증거하듯, 구하기 전에 있어야 할 것을 알고 가르치며 역사하고 이루시는 은혜를 받습니다.

If we learn and grow in faith through such hardships and trials, and obey the teachings amd guidance of the Word and the Holy Spirit, as “The Israelites moved on and camped at Oboth. Then they set out from Oboth and camped in lye Abarim, in the desert that faces Moab toward the sunrise. From there they moved on and camped in the Zered valley. They set out from there and camped alongside the Arnon, which is in the desert extending into Amorite territory. The Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites. That is why the Book of the wars of the Lord says: ‘Waheb in Suphah and the ravines, the Arnon, and the slopes of the ravines that lead to the site of Ar and lie along the border of Moab (21:10-15)” We receive the grace of Immanuel, who knows what we need before we ask, teaches us, works and accomplished it, as “From there they continued on to Beer, the well where the Lord said to Moses, ‘Gather the people together and I will give them water (21:16)”

그리고, “그 때에 이스라엘이 노래하여 이르되 우물물아 솟아나라 너희는 그것을 노래하라. 이 우물은 지휘관들이 팠고 백성의 귀인들이 규와 지팡이로 판 것이로다 하였더라 그들은 광야에서 맛다나에 이르렀고, 맛다나에서 나할리엘에 이르렀고 나할리엘에서 바못에 이르렀고, 바못에서 모압 들에 있는 골짜기에 이르러 광야가 내려다 보이는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 이르렀더라(21:17-20)” 증거하듯, 찬양하고 경배하는 믿음으로 자라게 되므로, 말씀과 성령의 가르침을 따라 배우고 믿으며 순종하는 올바른 믿음으로 예수 그리스도의 임마누엘 형통한 은혜와 사랑과 복을 받고 대속과 구원을 얻으라는 뜻입니다.

And it means that we grow in faith that praises and worships, so that we learn, believe, and obey the teachings of the Word and the Holy Spirit, and that we receive the grace, love, and blessings of the Immanuel God of Jesus Christ, and that we obtain redemption and salvation, as “Then Israel sang this song: Spring up, O well. Sing about it, about the well that the princes dug, that the nobles of the people sank-the nobles with scepters and staffs. ‘Then they went from the desert to Mattanah, from Mattanah to Nahaliel, from Nahaliel to Bamoth, and from Bamoth to the valley in Moab where the top of Pisgah overlooks the wasteland (21:17-20)”

그처럼 올바른 믿음이 되면, “이스라엘이 아모리 왕 시혼에게 사신을 보내어, 우리에게 당신의 땅을 지나가게 하소서 우리가 밭이든지 포도원이든지 들어가지 아니하며 우물물도 마시지 아니하고 당신의 지경에서 다 나가기까지 왕의 큰길로만 지나가리이다 하나, 시혼이 이스라엘이 자기 영토로 지나감을 용납하지 아니하고 백성을 다 모아 이스라엘을 치러 광야로 나와서 야하스에 이르러 이스라엘을 치므로, 이스라엘이 칼날로 그들을 쳐서 무찌르고 그 땅을 아르논에서부터 얍복까지 점령하여 암몬 자손에게까지 미치니 암몬 자손의 경계는 견고하더라. 이스라엘이 그 모든 성읍을 빼앗고 아모리인의 성읍 헤스본과 모든 촌락에 거주하였으니, 헤스본은 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 도성이라 시혼이 모압 왕을 치고 그의 땅을 아르논까지 빼앗았더라. 그러므로 시인이 이르되 너희는 헤스본으로 올지어다 시혼의 성을 세워 견고히 할지어다. 헤스본에서 불이 나오며 시혼의 성에서 화염이 나와서 모압의 아르를 삼키며 아르논 높은 곳의 주인을 멸하였도다. 모압아 네가 화를 당하였도다 그모스의 백성아 네가 멸망하였도다 그가 아들들을 도망하게 하였고 딸들을 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 포로가 되게 하였도다. 우리가 그들을 쏘아서 헤스본을 디본까지 멸하였고 메드바에 가까운 노바까지 황폐하게 하였도다 하였듯(21:21-30)” 선을 악으로 갚으려는 자들을 정복하고 멸망시키는 형통한 복을 얻습니다.

Then, you will receive the great blessing of conquering and destroying the evildoers who seek to repay good with evil, as “Israel sent messengers to say to Sihon king the Amorites: Let us pass through your country. We will not turn aside into any field or vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will travel along the king’s highway until we have passed through your territory. But Sihon would not let Israel pass through his territory. He mustered his entire army and marched out into the desert against Israel. When he reached Jahaz, he fought with Israel. Israel however, put him to the sword and took over his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, but only as far as the Ammonites, because their border was fortified. Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites and occupied them, including Heshbon and all its surrounding settlements. Heshbon was was the city of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab and had taken from him all his land as far as the Arnon. That is why the poets say: ‘Come to Heshbon and let it be rebuilt; let Sihon’s city be restored. Fire went out from Heshbon, a blaze from the city of Sihon. It consumed Ar of Moab, the citizens of Arnon’s heights. Woe to you O Moab. You are destroyed, O people of Chemosh. He has given up his sons as fugitives and his daughters as captives to Sihon king of the Amorites. But we have overthrown them; Heshbon is demolished them as far as Nophah, which extends to Medeba (21:21-30)”

그래서 “이스라엘이 아모리인의 땅에 거주하였더니, 모세가 사람을 보내어 야셀을 정탐하게 하고 그 촌락들을 빼앗고 그 곳에 있던 아모리인을 몰아 냈더라. 그들이 돌이켜 바산 길로 올라가매 바산 왕 옥이 백성을 다 거느리고 나와서 그들을 맞아 에드레이에서 싸우려 하는지라. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 그를 두려워하지 말라 내가 그와 그의 백성과 그의 땅을 네 손에 넘겼나니 너는 헤스본에 거주하던 아모리인의 왕 시혼에게 행한 것 같이 그에게도 행할지니라. 이에 그와 그의 아들들과 그의 백성을 다 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고 그의 땅을 점령하였더라(21:31-35)” 증거하므로, 고난은 그리스도의 대속과 구원으로 인도하는 하나님의 은혜와 사랑이므로 불평하거나 원망하지 말고 오히려 감사와 찬양을 드리며 말씀과 성령의 가르침을 받아 믿으며 묻고 순종하여 임마누엘 하나님의 형통한 은혜와 사랑과 복을 받아 세상에서도 성공하고 대속과 구원 얻으라는 뜻입니다. 그처럼 올바른 믿음 되기를 예수 그리스도 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

So, today God testify with the words of the bible to us, as “Israel settled in the land of the Amorites. After Moses had sent spies to Jazer, the Israelites captured its surrounding settlements and drove out the Amorites who were there. Then they turned and went up along the road toward Bashan, and Og king of Bashan and his whole army marched out to meet them in battle at Edrei. So, they struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army, leaving them no survivors. And they took possession of his land (21:31-35)” Therefore, suffering is the grace and love of God that leads to the atonement and salvation of Christ, so do not complain or resent, but rather give thanks and praise, receive the teachings of the Word and the Holy Spirit, believe, ask for and obey the will of God, and receive the abundant grace, love and blessings of Immanuel God, succeed in worldly life, and obtain the atonement and salvation of Christ. I hopefully pray for you brothers and sisters, you shall be as good and right faith in Christ Jesus all. Amen.
