Bible Reading - Proverbs 20:21~30

20:21 An inheritance(유산) quickly gained at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.

처음에 재빨리 얻은 유산은 마지막에 복이 될 수 없다.

20:22 Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" "이 잘못을 되갚아 주겠다."고 말하지 말라.

Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you. 여호와를 기다리면 그가 너를 구하실 것이다. 

20:23 The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him.

여호와께서는 서로 다른 저울추를 싫어하시며, 부정직한 저울들도 기뻐하지 않으신다.

20:24 A man's steps are directed by the LORD. 사람의 발걸음은 여호와께서 인도하신다.

How then can anyone understand his own way? 그러면 누가 자기 길을 알 수 있겠는가?

20:25 It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly(성급하게) and only later to consider his vows.

어떤 사람이 성급하게 무언가를 바치고 나서야 자신의 서약을 숙고하는 것은 함정이다.

20:26 A wise king winnows out(걸러내다) the wicked; 현명한 왕은 사악한 자를 걸러내며

he drives the threshing wheel(타작바퀴) over them. 그는 그 위로 타작 바퀴를 굴린다.

drive ~ over ~ : ~을 ~위에 몰다.

20:27 The lamp of the LORD searches the spirit of a man; 여호와의 등불은 인간의 영혼을 살피신다.

it searches out his inmost(가장 깊은) being. 그것은 그의 가장 깊은 존재를 탐구합니다.

20:28 Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; 사랑과 신실함이 왕을 안전히 지킨다.

 through love his throne is made secure. 사랑을 통해 그의 보좌는 안전하게 된다.

20:29 The glory of young men is their strength, 젊은이들의 영광은 그들의 기력이며 

gray hair the splendor(영광) of the old. 흰머리는 노인들의 영광이다. 

20:30 Blows and wounds cleanse away evil, and beatings purge(깨끗이하다) the inmost being.

와 상처는 악을 씻어내고, 매는 존재의 가장 깊은 곳을 정화시킨다.
