Bible Reading - Proverbs 21:1~10

21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; 왕의 마음은 여호와의 손에 있으며

he directs(지휘하다,이끌다) it like a watercourse(물줄기) wherever he pleases.

그가 물줄기를 원하는 대로 흐르게 하듯, 그것을 원하는 대로 이끈다.

21:2 All a man's ways seem right to him, 모든 사람의 길은 그에게 옳은 것같지만 

but the LORD weighs(무게를 달다) the heart. 여호와는 마음을 감찰하신다(달아보신다).

21:3 To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

옳고 공정한 것을 행하는 것은 희생제물보다 여호와께 더 받아들여질 수 있다.

21:4 Haughty eyes(거만한 눈) and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin!

거만한 눈과 교만한 마음, 악한 자의 등불은 죄이다.

21:5 The plans of the diligent lead to profit(이익) as surely as haste(서두름) leads to poverty.

부지런한 사람의 계획은 반드시 이익을 가져오고, 서두르는 것은 반드시 가난을 가져온다.

21:6 A fortune(행운,재산) made by a lying tongue is a fleeting(덧 없는) vapor(증기) and a deadly snare.

거짓말하는 혀로 번 재산은 덧없는 안개요, 치명적인 함정이다.

21:7 The violence of the wicked will drag them away, 악한 자의 강포는 그들을 끌어가고

for they refuse to do what is right. 그들은 옳은 일을 하기를 거부하기 때문이다.

해석 - 악한 자들의 강포는 그들이 옳은 일 하기를 거부하기 때문에 그들을 끌어간다.

21:8 The way of the guilty is devious(정도를 벗어나, 악한), 죄인의 길은 악하고

but the conduct(행위) of the innocent is upright(정직한).무고한 자의 행위는 정직하다.

21:9 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome(다투기 좋아하는) wife.

다투기 좋아하는 아내와 한 집에서 사는 것보다 지붕 한 구석에서 사는 것이 낫다.

21:10 The wicked man craves evil; his neighbor gets no mercy from him.

악한 사람은 악을 열망하니, 그의 이웃은 그에게서 자비를 얻지 못하리라.
