평화경 - (001) - 하나님과 인간을 위한 이상세계

2. 인간은 선악의 모체

통일은 어디서부터 해야 됩니까? 이 세계는 결과의 세계이므로 원인이 되는 개개인을 중심삼고 모색하지 않으면 안 된다는 결론이 나옵니다. 우리 개인은 상반되는 두 가지 목적의 방향을 가진 인간이 되었습니다. 이것은 누구도 부정할 수 없을 것입니다. 마음은 선한 곳으로 가기를 원하는데 몸은 그 반대로 가라고 하는 것입니다. 이 둘이 싸우고 있다는 것입니다.

그러한 개인, 즉 그러한 남자와 그러한 여자가 합하여 가정을 형성하게 됩니다. 그런데 속사람과 겉사람이 있기 때문에 두 부부가 만나면 네 사람의 형이 벌어져 별개의 다른 행동을 하게 되는 것입니다. 이렇게 해서 하나의 씨족이면 씨족, 종족이면 종족, 민족이면 민족, 국가면 국가, 세계면 세계가 모두 갈라지는 것입니다. 그런데 고마운 것은 수백 갈래, 수천 갈래로 갈라지지 아니하고 크게 두 개로 갈라졌다는 것입니다. 이것이 이상하다는 것입니다.

만일 하나님이 계시다면 이러한 인간을 그냥 버려둘 수 없기 때문에, 인간이 모르는 역사의 배후에서 활동해 나오지 않을 수 없습니다. 그리고 인간을 악으로 몰아넣은 사탄이 있다면 그 사탄도 하나님이 끌어가는 방향의 반대 방향으로 끌어가려고 한다는 것입니다.

그렇지만 절대적인 하나님 앞에 아무리 반대하는 사탄이 있다고 하더라도 그에게는 절대적인 권한을 가지고 세워 놓은 원칙을 반대하고 나설 수 있는 권한은 없습니다. 옳은 것은 하나님이 관리하는 것이요, 나쁜 것은 사탄이 관리하는 것입니다. 그러한 하나님과 사탄의 싸움의 결과가 우리 개인에서부터 미치기 시작하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 인간은 악의 모체가 될 수도 있고 선의 모체가 될 수도 있다는 것을 알아야 되겠습니다. 즉 사람은 선의 출발지가 되는 동시에 악의 출발지도 된다는 것입니다.

여러분! 높아지는 것은 좋은 것을 상징하고 내려가는 것은 나쁜 것을 의미합니다. 여러분이 사람들 앞에서 칭찬받을 일이 있을 때는 크게 뽐내고 싶은 것입니다. 자기가 나쁘다는 것을 알게 되면 쑥 들어가는 것입니다. 좋은 일을 할 때는 선전을 하고 나를 본받으라고 외칠 수 있습니다. 나쁜 일을 할 때는 알려질까 봐 감추려고 하는 것입니다. 나쁜 짓, 즉 도둑질을 한 사람이 당당하게 선전하고 가는 사람은 없습니다. 숨어서 가는 것입니다.

사람 가운데는 높아지고자 하는 부분과 낮아지고자 하는 두 부분이 있다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 높아지고자 하는 것이 양심작용입니다. 악을 행하고 양심의 고통을 안 받는 장사나 위인은 없는 것입니다. 인간 양심은 하나님의 초소요 몸은 사탄의 초소이며, 양심은 천국의 기원이요 몸은 지옥의 기원이 된다는 것을 확실히 알아야 됩니다.

그러므로 선악의 본질이 근본적으로 다르다는 것을 알 수 있습니다. 선은 전체의 이익을 추구하는 것이요, 악은 자기 개인만을 위하는 것입니다. 선한 사람은 나보다도 가정을, 가정보다도 동네를, 동네보다도 나라를, 나라보다도 세계를 위하려 합니다.

지금까지 역사는 자기를 위하는 면과 남을 위하는 공적인 면을 중심하고 싸움으로 엮어져 나왔습니다. 이 몸을 중심삼은 악의 근거를 파탄시키고 뿌리를 빼 버리는 것이 하나님의 절대적인 요구입니다. 그 반대로 양심이니 무엇이니 하는 것을 무자비하게 파탄시키려 하는 것이 사탄을 중심한 악의 요구입니다. 그렇기 때문에 그렇게 싸우면서 역사를 엮어 왔습니다.

양심을 위주로 한 하나님의 편과 몸을 위주로 한, 물질을 위주로 한 악의 편이 대립하면서 세상 인류는 유물주의와 유심주의로 나뉘지 않을 수 없다는 결론을 내릴 수 있습니다. 만일 하나님이 없다면 이러한 결과의 세계는 올 수 없는 것입니다.

악은 질투·분열·투쟁을 강조해서 자멸을 초래케 하는 것입니다. 이렇게 보게 될 때 이상이니 통일이니 하는 것이 어디서 벌어져야 됩니까? 결국은 세계보다도 근본에 들어가서는 ‘나’인 것입니다. 개인인 것입니다. 하나님이 바라시는 것은 통일의 세계요 이상의 세계이기 때문에 인간을 대해 그것을 가르쳐 줘야 한다는 것입니다.

2. 人間は善悪の母体

統一はどこから成し遂げられなければならないのでしょうか。この世界は結果の世界なので、原因となる個々人を中心として模索しなければならないという結論が出てきます。私たち個人は、相反する二つの目的の方向をもった人間になっています。これは誰も否定できないことです。心は善の所に行くことを願うのに、体はそれとは反対の方に行けと言うのです。この二つが闘っています。

そのような個人、すなわちそのような男性とそのような女性が合わさって家庭を形成します。ところが、内なる人と外なる人がいるので、夫婦が会えば四タイプの人がいることになり、それぞれが異なる行動をするようになるのです。このようにして一つの氏族ならば氏族、民族ならば民族、国家ならば国家、世界ならば世界がすべて分かれるのです。有り難いことは、数百、数千に分かれるのではなく、大きく二つに分かれることです。これが不思議なのです。
 
もし神様がいらっしゃるならば、このような人間をそのまま放っておくことができないので、人間の知らない歴史の背後で活動してこざるを得ませんでした。また、人間を悪へと追い込むサタンがいるとすれば、そのサタンも、神様が引っ張っていく方向とは反対の方向へと引っ張っていこうとするのです。
 
しかし、絶対的な神様のみ前にいくら反対するサタンがいたとしても、サタンには、絶対的な権限をもって立てた原則に反して進み出る権限がありません。正しいことは神様が管理し、悪いことはサタンが管理するのですが、そのような神様とサタンとの闘いの結果が、私たち個人から現れ始めるのです。ですから、人間は、悪の母体にもなり、善の母体にもなることを知らなければなりません。すなわち人というのは、善の出発地になると同時に、悪の出発地にもなるのです。
 
皆様。高くなることは良いことを象徴し、下っていくことは悪いことを意味します。皆様が人々の前で称賛されるようなことがある時は、大いに自慢したくなります。自分が悪いことが分かれば、奥のほうに隠れてしまうのです。良いことをする時は、宣伝をして「私を見習いなさい」と叫ぶことができます。悪いことをする時は、知られてしまうのではないかと隠そうとするのです。悪い行動、すなわち、盗みを働く人で、堂々と宣伝して歩く人はいません。隠れて歩くのです。
 
人の内には、高くなろうとする部分と低くなろうとする部分の二つの部分があることを知らなければなりません。高くなろうとするのが良心作用です。悪を働きながら、良心の苦痛を受けない壮士や偉人はいないのです。人間の良心が神様の見張り台ならば、体はサタンの見張り台であり、また良心が天国の起源ならば、体は地獄の起源となることをはっきりと知らなければなりません。

ですから、善悪の本質が根本的に違うことが分かります。善は全体の利益を追求するのであり、悪は自分個人だけのために生きるのです。善の人は、私よりも家庭、家庭よりも地域社会、地域社会よりも国、国よりも世界のために生きようとします。 今まで歴史は、自分のために生きる面と、人のために生きる公的な面を中心として、闘争によって連結されてきました。この体を中心とした悪の根拠を破綻させ、根を抜いてしまうことが神様の絶対的な要求です。その反対に、良心を無慈悲に破綻させようとするのが、サタンを中心とした悪の要求です。ですから、そのように闘いながら歴史を綴ってきたのです。
 
良心を主とした神様の側と、体を主とした、物質を主とした悪の側が対立しながら、この世の人類は唯物主義と唯心主義とに分けられざるを得ないという結論を下すことができます。もし神様がいないとすれば、このような結果の世界は来ることができないのです。悪は、嫉妬、分裂、闘争を強調して、自滅を招きます。このように見るとき、理想や統一は、どこから始まらなければならないのでしょうか。結局は、世界よりも根本に入って「私」です。個人なのです。神様が願われるのは、統一の世界であり、理想の世界なので、人間に対してそれを教えなければならないのです。

2. Human beings are the origin of good and evil

Where is unity first achieved? Since this world is a resultant world, we can conclude that unity must begin with the causal beings. Where are those individuals? It cannot be denied that we human beings are torn between two purposes that lead us in contrary directions. Our minds desire to go toward goodness, whereas our bodies lead us the opposite way. The two are fighting with each other.

There are two different individuals, a man and a woman, who come together in union to form a family. Because they each possess an internal self and an external self, when the two meet as a couple, they in fact come together as four beings, each acting in different ways. In the same way, whether it is a clan, a tribe, a people, a nation or the world, everything is divided. Nevertheless, we can be grateful that they are not divided into hundreds or thousands of directions; they are divided in two ways. This is what is fascinating.

If there were a God, He surely would not allow people to continue like this. He would have no choice except to work in the background of history, even without their knowing it. And if there were a Satan who had driven human beings to evil, that Satan would keep trying to pull them in the direction opposite to that of God.

Nonetheless, even if Satan opposes the absolute God, he does not have the right to rise up and oppose the principles that God set up with absolute authority. God governs what is good and Satan governs what is evil. The resulting fight between God and Satan starts within us as individuals. We need to understand that this is the reason that human beings can be the origin of evil and the origin of goodness. In short, a person can be the starting point of goodness and at the same time the starting point of evil.

Ladies and gentlemen! Going up symbolizes something good and going down signifies something bad. When you are complimented for some reason, you wish to boast loudly of it. In contrast, when you are criticized for doing wrong, you shrink into yourself. When you do something good, you advertise it and call for others to follow your example. When you do something bad, you hide it for fear of it being known. No one goes about boldly advertising having done something bad, like stealing. Rather, such a person goes his or her way in secret.

You need to understand that people have two parts, one desiring to go up and the other desiring to go down. The part that desires to go up is the conscience. There is no person, even one of great power or fame, who does not suffer pangs of conscience when doing something evil. We need to understand clearly that the human conscience is the guardian of God, whereas the body is the guardian of Satan, and that the conscience is the origin of heaven, whereas the body is the origin of hell.

This leads us to realize the fundamental difference between the essence of good and the essence of evil. Goodness seeks to benefit the whole, whereas evil seeks only its own benefit. Good people live more for the sake of their family than for themselves, more for the sake of their village than their family, more for the sake of their nation than their village, and more for the sake of the world than their nation.

Until now, history has unfolded as a struggle between the perspective of living for one’s own sake and the perspective of living for the sake of others. God’s absolute demand is that we completely uproot and destroy the basis of evil in our bodies. In contrast, Satan’s evil demand is that we mercilessly destroy the conscience and anything associated with it. History continues to unfold through this conflict.

God’s side is centered on the conscience, while the side of evil is centered on the body and on material things. They oppose each other, and we can conclude that this is why humanity is divided between the realm of materialism and the realm of spirituality. If there were no God, we would not have such a resultant world. Evil manifests as jealousy, disunity and conflict that lead to self-destruction. From this viewpoint, where can unity and the ideal be realized? In the end, they start from the most fundamental level, from “me,” the individual. Thus God needs to teach us about the united world, the ideal world for which He yearns.
