최절인아산(催絶人我山) 장양공덕림(長養功德林)

- 경전의 가르침을 통해서 산처럼 뾰족한 나의 부정적인 면을 소멸시키고 없애서, 평지를 만드는 것

- 산림은 공덕의 숲을 키운다.

- 법사가 하고 싶은 이야기 : 불교는 한마디로 회향이다.

- 부모는 자신의 모든 삶을 자식들에게 회향한다.

불자는 자식, 가족, 다른 모든 사람을 위해서 자신의 인생을 회향한다.

-회향없는 불교는 존재할 이유가 없다.

-끊임없이 자신만을 위해 살려고 해도, 꼭 그렇게 되는 것은 아니다.

비료와 거름을 나무에 뿌리는 것과 같다. 거름은 1m 정도 거리를 두고 뿌린다. 그러면 그

영양가가 옆의 나무, 다른 식물에까지 미친다.

-자기능력, 자기 소질, 자기 취미대로 회향할 줄 아는 삶이야말로 불교를 아는 삶이다.

It is thinking deeply about the scriptures and checking our daily lives against the teachings. By doing this, we help our spirits grow

— The scriptures Sallim, Beophwa-Sallim, Hwaom Sallim.

Break down the mountain of pride, and grow the forest of good deeds.

- Through the teachings, we break down our negative thoughts and pride, which are sharp like mountains. By making our minds flat and calm,

- Sallim grows a forest of merit.

The Ten Dedications: From The Avatamsaka Sutra Sallim

- The teacher’s message: Simply put, Buddhism is 'sharing'.

- Parents give their whole lives to their children,

 Buddhists dedicate their lives to their children, family, and everyone else.

- Without sharing, Buddhism has no reason to exist.

- Even if you try to live only for yourself, life doesn't always work that way.

It is like putting fertilizer on a tree. You put the fertilizer about one meter away from the tree. Then, the nutrients reach the trees nearby and other plants, too.

- A person who knows how to share their skills, talents, and hobbies is a person who truly understands Buddhism.
