Bible Reading - Proverbs 21:20~31

21:21 He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.

의와 사랑을 쫓는 자는 생명과 번영과 명예를 얻는다.

21:22 A wise man attacks the city of the mighty

and pulls down(무너뜨리다) the stronghold(요새) in which they trust.

지혜로운 사람은 강한 자의 도시를 공격하고 그들이 신뢰하는 요새를 무너뜨린다.

21:23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity(재난).

입과 혀를 지키는 자는 재난으로부터 자신을 지킨다.

21:24 The proud and arrogant man--"Mocker" is his name; 

오만하고 교만한 남자, 조롱하는 자가 그의 이름이다.

he behaves with overweening(자부심이 강한) pride. 그는 지나치게 오만하게 행동한다.

21:25 The sluggard's craving(게으른 자의 열망) will be the death of him,

because his hands refuse to work.

게으른 자의 열망은 그의 죽음이 될 것이니, 그의 손이 일하기를 거부하기 때문이다. 

21:26 All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.(아낌없이)

하루종일 그는 더 많은 것을 원하지만 의로운 자는 아끼지 않고 준다.

21:27 The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable-- 악한 자가 드리는 제물은 혐오스러우니

how much more so when brought with evil intent!(의도)

하물며 악한 의도로 가져온 것이라면 더더욱 그럴 것이다!

21:28 A false witness will perish, 거짓 증인은 멸망할 것이며

and whoever listens to him will be destroyed forever.

그에게 듣는 자는 영원히 멸망 당할 것이다.

21:29 A wicked man puts up a bold front,(뻔뻔스러운 모습) 악한 사람은 뻔뻔스러운 모습을 하고 있지만,

but an upright man gives thought(숙고하다) to his ways. 정직한 사람은 자신의 행동을 숙고한다.

21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight(통찰력), no plan that can succeed against the LORD.

여호와께 대항하여 승리할 수 있는 지혜도 없고, 통찰력도 없고, 계략도 없다.

21:31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, 말은 전투의 날을 위해 준비되지만,

but victory rests with the LORD. 승리는 여호와께 달려 있다.
