예수께서 가르치실 때에 가라사대 긴 옷을 입고 다니는 것과 시장에서 문안 받는 것과 회당의 상좌와 잔치의 상석을 원하는 서기관들을 삼가라 저희는 과부의 가산을 삼키며 외식으로 길게 기도하는 자니 그 받는 판결이 더욱 중하리라 하시니라

mark 12:38-40

As he taught, Jesus said, "Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces,and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely."

서기관들은 하나님의 말씀을 기록하고 가르치는 종교 지도자들이었고, 많은 백성들로부터 존경받았던 인물들이다.사람들 보기에 그들의 삶은 거룩했다, 항상 길고 깨끗한 옷을 입고 다녔고, 회당에서 상좌에 앉으며 잔치집에 가도 상석에 앉으며, 사람들 앞에서 길게 기도하였다. 이들의 모습은 사람들 보기에 매우 깨끗했으나 주님의 눈에는 그들의 삶이 깨끗하지 않았다.그들의 마음에 탐심이 가득하여 그들은 가난한 과부의 재산을 넘보고 빼앗는 자들이었다.

그들은 주님의 엄중한 심판을 받을 수밖에 없었다. 오늘날 이들에 비유되는 자들이 누구인가? 인간 교리와 탐심에 빠진 크고 작은 교회의 목사와 주님의 종들인 것이다. 율법주의에 속한 주님의 종들이 세상에 매우 많다. 이런 목사들은 하나님의 말씀을 앞세워 항상 남을 비판하지만 그들의 마음 속에 숨어 있는 죄들을 드러내지 않고 회개하지 않는 것이다.또한 각종의 은사에 빠진 주님의 종들은 병고치고 귀신 쫓아내고 자신의 이름을 높이는 것에 신경쓰고, 그들 자신의 마음에 숨어있는 죄들을 인정하지 않고 회개하지 않는 것이다.

주님의 종들은 먼저 자신의 마음을 깨끗게 해야 한다, 그러면 그의 삶과 행위도 깨끗해지는 것이다. 마음에 탐심과 음심을 가득 품고, 겉모습만 깨끗하게 하고, 목회하는 주님의 종들 성령과 동행하는 것 아니다. 마음이 더러운 자는 결국 사탄의 지배하에 있는 것이다.이런 목사들은 성경 말씀을 그릇 인용하면서 가난한 교인들에게 재산을 팔아 교회에 바치라고 강요한다.주님이 기뻐하시는 헌금은 주님의 은혜를 받은 자들이 주님께 감사하여 자원하여 주님께 바치는 것입니다. 억지로 헌금하거나 목사에게 잘 보이기 위해 헌금하는 것은 주님께서 받지 않으십니다.

마가복음 12:41-44

예수께서 연보 궤를 대하여 앉으사 무리의 연보 궤에 돈 넣는 것을 보실쌔 여러 부자는 많이 넣는데 한 가난한 과부는 와서 두 렙돈 곧 한 고드란트를 넣는지라 예수께서 제자들을 불러다가 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 가난한 과부는 연보 궤에 넣는 모든 사람보다 많이 넣었도다 저희는 다 그 풍족한 중에서 넣었거니와 이 과부는 그 구차한 중에서 자기 모든 소유 곧 생활비 전부를 넣었느니라 하셨더라

한 과부가 그날의 생활비 전체인 두 렙돈을 헌금함에 넣었다. 주님께서 그녀의 형편과 마음을 아십니다. 그래서 제자들에게 이렇게 말씀하신 것이다. “내가 보니 이 과부가 오늘 가장 많이 헌금하였도다” 그 시간에 주님 앞에서 부자들이 그녀와 비교할 수 없이 많은 헌금을 드렸다. 그러나 주님은 그날의 생활비 전체를 헌금한 그 과부를 가장 많이 헌금하였다고 말씀하신 것입니다. 그녀는 전 재산을 바친 것이 아니다. 그녀가 그날의 생활비 전체를 자원하는 마음으로 주님께 드린 것입니다.

주님은 우리가 드리는 헌금 액수를 다른 사람과 단순 비교하지 않습니다. 헌금 드리는 우리의 형편과 마음을 보시며 영광을 받으시고, 우리의 믿음을 인정하시는 것입니다.

The scribes were religious leaders who recorded and taught the word of God, and they were respected by many people. In the eyes of the people, their lives were holy. They always wore long, clean clothes, sat on the high seats in the synagogue, sat at the best seats at banquets, and prayed long prayers in front of the people. Although their appearances were very clean in the eyes of the people, their lives were not clean in the eyes of the Lord.

They were full of greed in their hearts, and they were the ones who coveted and took the property of poor widows. They could not help but receive the Lord's severe judgment. Who are these people likened to today? They are pastors of large and small churches and servants of the Lord who have fallen into human doctrine and greed. There are many servants of the Lord who belong to legalism in the world.Such pastors always criticize others by putting the word of God first, but they do not reveal the sins hidden in their hearts and do not repent.

Also, the servants of the Lord who are immersed in various gifts are concerned about healing the sick, casting out demons, and glorifying their own names, and they do not acknowledge or repent of the sins hidden in their hearts. The servants of the Lord must first cleanse their hearts, and then their lives and actions will also be cleansed. Servants of the Lord who are filled with greed and adultery, who only clean their appearances, and who minister do not walk with the Holy Spirit. Those with dirty hearts are ultimately under the control of Satan.

These pastors misquote the Bible and force poor church members to sell their property and donate it to the church. The offerings that the Lord is pleased with are those that those who have received the Lord's grace voluntarily give to the Lord in gratitude.The Lord does not accept offerings that are forced or given to look good to the pastor.

Mark 12:41-44

Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins,worth only a fraction of a penny.Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything--all she had to live on."

A widow put two small coins, which were her entire living expenses for the day, into the offering box. The Lord knew her circumstances and her heart. That is why He said to His disciples, “I see that this widow has given more today than any other.” At that time, the rich people before the Lord gave much more than she did. However, the Lord said that the widow who gave her entire living expenses for the day gave the most. She did not give all her wealth. She volunteered all her living expenses for that day to the Lord.

The Lord does not simply compare the amount of our offerings with others. He looks at our circumstances and hearts as we give, receives glory, and acknowledges our faith.
