After that, the 1960 April Revolution and the candlelight protests in 2017 occured in similar ways. Second, the March 1 Movement represent Korean Nationalism. Korean nationalism resists to foreign influence by adhereing to purity. Third, unity and solidarity are also important legacies. Despite this legacies, Korea is divided is two states. Therefore, we should reconsider the meaning of the March 1 Movement in that we face the tension the division creates.
