A hero does not mean just the one
who rises again from one's defeat on battlefield.
The one who rises again from one's failure
caused by one's own mistake is also a hero.
Failure is nothing but a necessary part
of the course toward success.
A winner thinks like that
but a loser sees his failure through a magnifying glass
and thinks it more serious than necessary.
A sage does not gain wisdom just from success.
A sage knows he needs modesty when he succeeds
and when he fails, he gains experience and wisdom
minimizing wound to his heart.
A humble man will be remembered as a sage by the world,
if he advances even at a snail's pace,
while gaining modesty and wisdom
from both his success and failure.
Life goes forward on and on
while the earth rotates around the sun on and on.
Just how one thinks of one's life
decides one's happiness and unhappiness.
