Bible Reading - Proverbs 22:11~19

22:11 He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.

순수한 마음을 사랑하고 말이 은혜로운 자는 왕을 친구로 삼을 것이다.

22:12 The eyes of the LORD keep watch over(감시하다) knowledge, 여호와의 눈은 지식을 감찰하나

but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful. 그는 불성실한 자의 말을 좌절시킨다.

22:13 The sluggard(게으른 자) says, "There is a lion outside!" or, "I will be murdered in the streets!"

게으른 자는 "밖에 사자가 있다."라거나 "나는 거리에서 살해될 것이다."라고 말한다.

22:14 The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit(구덩이); 간음하는 여자의 입술은 깊은 구덩이이며 

he who is under the LORD'S wrath will fall into it. 여호와의 진노 아래에있는 자는 그 안으로 떨어질 것이다. 

22:15 Folly is bound up(묶다) in the heart of a child, 어리석음이 어린 아이의 마음에 얽혀있으나

but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him. 징계의 막대기가 그것을 그에게서 멀리 쫓아낼 것이다.

22:16 He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth(재산을 늘리려고)  and he who gives gifts to the rich--both come to poverty.

가난한 사람을 억압하여 자신의 재산을 늘리는 사람과 부자에게 선물을 주는 사람은 모두 가난하게 된다.

22:17 Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; 현명한 자의 말에 주의를 기울여 들으라.

apply your heart to what I teach, 내가 가르치는 것에 너의 마음을 적용하라.

22:18 for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.

당신이 그것들을 당신의 마음에 간직하고 있을 때, 그것은 기쁜 일이고 그것들을 모두 당신의 입술에 준비해 두십시오.

22:19 So that your trust may be in the LORD, I teach you today, even you.

내가 오늘 너에게 가르쳐 주노니 이는 네가 여호와를 신뢰하도록 함이라.
