Hip hop is a social, musical, and cultural movement that began in the United States. 

It emerged from African American and Latino communities in New York in the 1970s. 

Although some people equate hip hop with rap music, hip hop is a much larger cultural movement.

Hip hop culture is made up of four key elements: rap music, b-boying, DJing, and graffiti art.

Music is the most important part of hip hop culture, which is why the term hip hop is often considered

synonymous with rap. 

In truth, rap music is just one small part of hip hop.

Hip hop culture has far-reaching influences throughout the world. 

Originally, it began as a way to express dissatisfaction with discrimination. 

As a result, it continues to be used for social change. 

People all over the world express their joys and frustrations through hip hop.

Because of the international success of hip hop artists, people near and far can participate in the culture. 

For tonight’s homework, I would like you to write about how hip hop has fused with fashions around the world.
