Column - Let's receive salvation through resurrection
“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:10)
1. Humans born in Adam were born wrong and must be born again.
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50).
There is no way to connect with God, who is spirit.
Therefore, Jesus told even a respectable Jewish gentleman like Nicodemus that unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, one cannot see or enter the kingdom of heaven (John 3:3, 5).
Furthermore, Jesus did not entrust himself to those who believed in him.
He knew what was in them (John 2:24-25).
2. To believe in Jesus as Lord and Christ, we must believe and follow the fact that, through repentance and baptism, we have been moved from the place of sin in Adam into Christ.
This is called obedience to the faith. (Romans 1:5).
Therefore, the basis of faith is believing in Christ, who gave his body on the cross for our sins and was raised, and thus we attained righteousness. (Romans 4:25-26)
Salvation is not achieved simply by believing in Jesus or looking to the cross.
We must be united with Jesus in his death, our old self buried, and we must be resurrected with Christ, united in his resurrection. (Romans 6:5)
Therefore, the Lord says, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved." (Mark 16:16)
If we believe in Jesus directly, idolatrously, in the place of flesh and blood, there is no need for baptism.
Baptism is a symbol of those who died in Adam becoming united with Christ and resurrected.
So when Peter said, "God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ," they asked, "What should they do?" Peter explained that if each of them repents and is baptized, they will receive forgiveness of sins in Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:36-38)
This means that Jesus died for our sins and was raised, becoming Christ, our Savior. Therefore, we must follow his example of death, be baptized, and repent, believing in Jesus as Lord and Christ.
Therefore, John says that the three bear witness: the Spirit, the water, and the blood. (1 John 5:7-8)
The Holy Spirit intervenes, washing us by water and uniting us by the blood as one.
Apart from a few prophets who received revelation, were there any Jews in the Old Testament who walked with God?
God walked with them, and no one walked with God except them.
Would it be valid to ask for a walk with Jesus without born again, without repentance, baptism, and forgiveness of sins, which are resurrection of the death?
I think this might be the case, because before I accepted Christ as Lord, there was a time when I sat in the driver's seat and prayed that the Lord would keep me safe and drive by my side today as well.
3. Therefore, Paul says in Titus 3:5 that we are saved by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit.
Only those who have been born again in Christ have peace and mercy. (Galatians 6:15-16)
Peace is becoming one with God in Christ, and through that one, we receive mercy.
The important thing is that the Holy Spirit begins to work in us only when we count ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
The Holy Spirit does not work where sin exists.
Therefore, unregenerate sinners, like the Jews, seek signs. (1 Corinthians 1:22)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit means becoming one body with Christ and all drinking into the one Spirit.(1 Corinthians 12:13)
Therefore, those who are of the Holy Spirit have sence of member of one body.
Those who are in Christ know that they are brothers.
4. Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again, transferring us, who were enemies of God, into Christ and reconciling us with God.
God dealt with it all at once.
However, because all they hear is Jesus' death on the cross, they still stand before the cross and they say to walk with Jesus, in vain.
Therefore, the result of being born again is that those who believe in the Son have eternal life, but those who do not follow the Son will not see eternal life, and instead, the wrath of God remains upon them (John 3:36).
That's why people say excessive fatigue is a lack of the life of Christ.
Because we are left in a place of wrath, suffering from all kinds of stress, not to mention the life of God., we become irritated, upset, and filled with anger.
We must believe and follow the place where the Holy Spirit descends, righteousness is revealed, holiness, and glory are revealed, and we become one in that glory, reaching perfection and love.
Because of the curse in Adam, we are in the place that God's wrath is up, and tribulation and suffering are constant to us(Romans 2:8).
Trace the gospel closely, that is, the book of Romans, and follow the processes that leads to salvation.
As those who died and rose again with Christ, we must repeat the confession of washing our feet and following the Lord who always receives us, as those who have bathed by the cross of the Lord.
We count ourselves dead to sin with Christ and alive to God, and we behold the glory of God in Christ, and let us enjoy the joy of salvation by the Lord's life.
