고전3:6; 마28:19절, 바울이 뿌리고 아볼로는 물 주고 그리고 하나님은 자라나게 하심

'나(=바울)는 심었고 아볼로는 물을 주었으되 오직 [하나님]께서 자라나게 하셨나니'

우리는 많은 불신자들을 대상으로 '다시 태어나게 할 순수할 목적'을 가지고 복음을 전합니다.

그러나 이런 복음전파의 궁극적인 목표는 무엇인가?를 살펴보고자 합니다.

오늘의 핵심구절인 고전3:6절에 의하면,

복음전도자의 최종적인 사명은 씨앗 곧 썩지 아니할 씨앗인 말씀을 잘 뿌리고 '가르쳐 다시 태어나게 하는 데'에 있습니다. 

'너희가 다시 태어난 것은 썩을 씨에서 난 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨에서 난 것이니 살아 있고 영원히 거하는 [하나님]의 말씀으로 된 것이니라.'(킹제임스흠정역성경 벧전1:23)

그런 다음 누군가가 또 아볼로처럼 '물'을 줄 것인데 결국은 '자라나게 하시는 분'은 [하나님]이시라고 분명히 기록되어 있습니다.

그런데 일부 대부분의 성도들은 전도자로써의 사명을 살 때, 복음이라는 씨앗을 뿌리는 것을 넘어 다른 사람들을 자기가 직접 '제자로 삼는 것(=만드는 것)'을 목표로 하는 것 같습니다.

그러나 일반 성도들의 생각이나 원하는 바와는 달리 '다른 사람을 예수님의 제자로 삼는 것(=making the disciples)'은 복음을 전하는 사람이 할 수 있는 일이 아닙니다.

말씀이 그렇게 가르치고 있기 때문입니다.

제자의 길은 다시 태어난 성도가 스스로 선택하는 것입니다. 이후 자라나는 것인데, 고전3:6절에 의하면 자라나게 하시는 일은 하나님께서 하시는 고유의 영역이기 때문입니다.

'누구든지 자기 십자가를 지고 (스스로 나를) 따라오지 아니하는 자도 능히 내 제자가 되지 못하리라.'

십자가를 지는 것은 강요에 의해서 되어지는 것이 아닙니다. 자발적일 때에 가능한 것입니다.

구레네 사람 시몬처럼 억지로(=Compel to) 질 수는 있지만 그런 사람은 그런 이유로 제자가 되지는 못합니다.
