The title of this story is "The Surprising Origins of English Words."
This story is about where some English words come from. A number of English words come from old customs. The word salary is related to the Latin word for salt. The word dates "quarantine" dates back to the infamous Black Death epidemic, when soldiers were isolated for forty days. Other English words came from myths. The word "clue" derives from the meaning "ball of thread." Some words were invented by authors. "Robot" comes from the Czech word "robota," meaning forced labor. "Freelancer" is a soldier who fights for money rather than his country. I think this story is interesting because it is give gives me useful information.
